Sydenham Institute of Management Studies, Research and Entrepreneurship Education (SIMSREE) concluded the final placement season for the 2018-20 batch maintaining an impressive track record. Consistently ranked amongst the top business schools across the nation, SIMSREE has become a much sought after destination for an array of prestigious recruiters.

TheThe Executive Placement Season for the batch of 2018-20 witnessed industry leaders from various sectors visiting the campus and recruiting for noteworthy profiles. Axis Bank, Barclays Investment Bank, Capgemini, Citi Group, Credit Agricole, Dabur, Deloitte USI, GEP, Godrej & Boyce, HDFC Group, ICICI Group, Infosys, JP Morgan Chase & Co, Khimji Ramdas Group, Marsh India Insurance Brokers, Nuvoco Vistas, Welspun were a fewfew of the esteemed companies that exhibited complete faith in SIMSREE's talent.

SIMSREE also hosted a number of Corporate Engagement initiatives throughout the year which included guest lectures and leadership talk sessions in addition to immersive workshop and academic projects.

It gives me a sense of pride and immense pleasure to endorse the work done by the Placement Cell of SIMSREE. The perseverance efforts of the cell enable the students to be industry-ready professionals and fortify their corporate interface.

Due to evolutionary changes in the corporate world, there has been an exemplary shift in the recruiting policies of the industry. Hence it’s the need of an hour to create a talent pool of students by augmenting their expertise and grooming them as per the industry requirement.

SIMSREE has always prided itself on the quality of students that get into the institute year on year. The batch of 2018-2020 was no different. The batch had a mix of backgrounds such as management, commerce and engineering. More than half of the student pool had experience from zero to over three years in sectors ranging fromfrom IT to Pharma while freshers gainedexposure through Live Projects and Internships.

Finance was in vogue again with 53% of the students opting for Finance followed by Marketing, with around 37% of the batch opting for it. HR and Operations specialisations are being preferred by more and more students.

The placement statistics show that SIMSREE has, yet again, proved to be a campus of choice for recruiters. It is a testimony to the fact that SIMSREE stands for excellence in business education and the kind of faith recruiters have in its student quality.

A host of new recruiters like Amway, AO Smith, Blackrock, IFF, Performics India, Zee Entertainment and many others, offered lucrative profiles to the talent pool at SIMSREE.

ManyMany students were offered Pre-Placement Offers (PPOs) and Pre-Placement Interviews (PPIs) based on their exemplary performance and knowledge as displayed during their Summer Internships.

In addition to this, Live Projects in different domains were offered by companies like Epigamia, FinShiksha, Glenmark, Marico, Reliance Retail etc.

AlongAlong with this winter internship opportunities were offered by companies including Ernst & Young, Lakme, Ogilvy, Piramal, Tata Power, Vodafone Idea and Yes Bank to the students.

This year, over 78 organizations from across sectors such as Automobile/Automotive, BFSI, Consulting, FMCG/FMCD, Information Technology, Infrastructure, Manufacturing, Pharmaceutical, Retail, and Telecom inter alia confirmed their participation for the Campus Recruitment Programme.

CandidateCandidates majoring in Finance were offered roles such as Analyst-Global Finance, Analyst-Investment Research, Business Valuation, Internal Audit, Financial Planning & Analysis, Investment Banking Analyst, Risk & Financial Advisory etc.

ThThe marketing majors witnessed a plethora of profiles such as Area Sales Manager, Associate Research Manager, Digital Marketing, Key Accounts Management and Relationship Manager while the Operations students were picked up as Business Analyst, Consultant, Operations Manager, Process Quality, Strategic Procurements etc.

DespitDespite being a challenging year SIMSREE achieved good placement offers with a noteworthy growth on all qualitative and quantitative aspects with a good number of quality profiles being offered by prestigious recruiters. Apart from regular recruiters, 33% first time recruiters were gracefully hosted from diverse sectors, bringing new course to the placements process.
