HARRISON COUNTY HISTORICAL MUSEUM
Steve & Penny Carlile Gallery | Memorial City Hall
EXHIB IT DONORS
In 2006 the Harrison County Historical Museum board of directors adopted a New Museum
Plan. The vision statement for the plan was to have "one of the best, small county history museums in Texas."
Phase I of the Plan was completed in 2013 with the opening of county history exhibits in the 1901 Courthouse.
The generosity of our donors featured on the next page and continuing on the following pages allowed us to complete the final phase of our plan -- a gallery featuring the people of Harrison County who served our county and our country in the military.
We thank you.

"From the earliest days of our country to the
most recent conflicts, men and women of our military have sacrificed
so that people like us could enjoy
the benefits of freedom."

In the beginning our project was just an idea, a vision.
Then with great generosity these people of Harrison County and
beyond began sending in donations and it reassured us our vision might just become a reality.
We are so very thankful for each and every donation -- both large and small.

Martha Robb chaired the Harrison County Historical Museum's New Museum Campaign Task Force from 2006 to 2017.
Through her leadership -- and personal example -- she shepherded the Task Force and Board of Directors through completion of Phase I of the campaign and the opening of the county history exhibits in the 1901 Harrison County Courthouse in 2013.
When is came time to launch into Phase II, a military exhibit gallery in Memorial City Hall, she bravely said "let's move forward" leading the campaign that raised the
2
funds for the exhibit.
During the six years of fund-raising and development of the Service and Sacrifice: Harrison County at War exhibit these members of the Military Exhibit-New Museum Task Force worked beside Martha:
