JESUS TEACHES US TO PRAY
<<Jesus said: Ask and it will be given to you, seek and
you will find, knock and it will be opened to you>>.
Saint Luke, Chapter 11.
Jesus is a teacher of prayer. He was always in com-
munion and dialogue with his father. The disciples ob-
serve him that he often goes to solitary places to
pray. He prays at all times, especially when he is going
to make important decisions. The teaching of Jesus
could be summed up in four words: God is my father. Before that good and
merciful father all the pages of the gospel become one. One of the disciples
told him: "Teacher, teach us to pray" and Jesus left us Our Father. Jesus
taught us to approach the Father, with simple words and in the attitude of chil-
dren, to expose our needs of the body and soul. To pray, we need three fun-
damental attitudes: Humility, trust and perseverance. The prayer of interces-
sion brings us closer to God and to the hearts of those who suffer. God is a
father who pities everyone because he is always merciful.
JESÚS NOS ENSEÑA A ORAR
«Dijo Jesús: Pedid y se os dará,
buscad y hallaréis, llamad y se os
abrirá». San Lucas, cap.11
Jesús es un maestro de la ora-
ción. Siempre estaba en comu-
nión y diálogo con su Padre. Los
discípulos lo observan que sale a
menudo a lugares solitarios para
orar. Ora en todo momento, es-
pecialmente cuando va a tomar
decisiones importantes.
tres actitudes fundamentales: Humildad, confianza y perseve-
rancia.
