Famous Australian
Steve Irwin was famous for his television series, The Crocodile Hunter. Steve was a wildlife expert and a television show host who grew up studying and caring for animals at his parents wildlife park. Steve died in September 2006 in Australia while filming at the Great Barrier Reef from a chest wound by a Sting Ray.
• Because he loved all kinds of animals and he wanted to teach the world about them. Everything from normal animals that people know about, to misunderstood and less known animals.
