♦ Once you have progressed farenough in the main story, you willbe able to change your Life freely(page 9).

4. Customize youravatar's name usingthe character iconson the TouchScreen. Select thegreen icons to switch betweencharacter sets. Select Confirmwhen you're done.

5. Choose a Life andenter the world ofReveria! For moreinformation on eachLife, refer to pages12-13.

Examine a savepoint or the bed inyour room(page 19) to saveyour progress.

Save point

Data can be lost due to useraction, such as repeatedlypowering off and on the system orremoving a Game Card or SD Cardwhile saving. Data loss may alsobe caused by poor connectivitydue to dirt or dust in the system'sports. Please be aware that inthese cases data cannot berestored.

You can have up to threedifferent saved games.

If you acquire enoughof these, your rank inyour current Life willrise.

Bliss

If you report toButterfly in your roomonce you've gainedenough Bliss, you'llbe able to pick out aBliss Bonus. BlissBonuses let youenjoy various fun anduseful upgrades, suchas adopting a pet orincreasing the size ofyour Bag.

You will receive story-related requests fromButterfly in your room(page 19), challenges (page 11) related toyour Life, and other requests fromvarious characters in Reveria.Complete these quests to advancein the story and to gain Stars, Bliss,Dosh, and useful items.

This is the currency ofReveria. Use it to buyitems, equipment, andother useful things.

As your rank (page 10) in a Liferises, you may learn new techniques(page 10) and crafts for makingitems.

Raising Your Rank

You will gain experience points bydefeating enemies and completingvarious other tasks, such as mining,woodcutting, fishing (page 14), orcrafting items (page 22). When youhave gained a certain number ofpoints, your level will rise,increasing your HP. You will alsogain some status points (page 17)to use on improving your Stats.

Leveling Up

As you perform various actions,you'll receive experience points forthe relevant skil ls. If you gainenough experience points for a skill,it will level up, increasing itseffectiveness. As your skill levelsincrease, you'll be able to usebetter equipment, tools, etc.

♦ The gauge will fill faster for skillsthat belong to your current Life.

10 It's Your Life!

You'll be issued alicense for yourchosen Life at aGuild Office(page 20). Onceyou have received a license, you'llbe able to get on with your Life!First, you'll need to pay a visit toyour Life Master, who'll take you onas a pupil. The Master for each Lifecan be found somewhere aroundCastele.

Each Life has a certain number ofranks. Complete challenges(page 11), and then report back toyour Life Master so the Master canreward you with Stars. Once you'veearned enough Stars, you'll rank up!By ranking up you'll learn newtechniques or crafts for craftingitems (page 22), depending on yourLife. You may also receive rewardsfrom your Master or other supportcharacters.The Life ranks are as follows:Novice, Fledgling, Apprentice,Adept, Expert, Master, Hero, andLegend. Rumor has it that ranksbeyond even Legend may alsoexist...

Reporting to YourMaster

When youcomplete achallenge, reportback to yourcurrent Life Master.Your Master will award you Stars,allowing you to rank up. When yourank up, your Master will issue newchallenges for you.

18 Living in Reveria

The Passage of Time

Time marches on as you exploreReveria, and you'll soon find thatexploring the realm at night offers adifferent atmosphere and experiencethan in the daytime. You mayencounter new enemies in the wildand hear people talking aboutdifferent things in town. To advancetime to the following morning, selectSleep at the bed in your room (page19) or an inn (page 20). If youselect Rest during the daytime, itwill become night.

You can collectvarious plants,fruits, insects, andother naturalresources that arefound throughout Reveria. Then youcan sell the items to shops or usethem to craft other items (page 22).And, of course, some items can beused just the way they are.

Talk to Pam, and complete Pam'serrands to be rewarded with LunaresCoins. Use the coins to pray atGoddess Statues and receive specialitems.
