We hear throughout the Scriptures this weekend the theme of rejoicing. Also, we light the rose candle and the light of the Advent Wreath now overtakes the darkness. As we enter into these last days of Advent may our hearts be filled with the Joy of Christ s coming and Rejoice! In the letter of St. James we are called to be patient until the coming of the Lord. What a challenge this is from St. James. I m sure you all know that patience is a virtue and can at times be very difficult to practice. St. James gives us the example of the farmer who has no choice but to be patient in waiting for the crops to grow before he can harvest them. There is nothing the farmer can do himself, he has to rely upon God to provide all that is needed before he can begin the harvest. As we continue through this Advent season, we are waiting like the farmer, for the coming of the Baby Jesus. We are called to be patient but also called to be prepared. May we continue in our preparation for the coming of the Lord through our patience and with joy filled hearts. The excitement of the upcoming Christmas Season brings joy to the heart. There are so many wonderful things that can bring joy to each of us. The great things that are happening within our parishes, school, and communities are exciting to see. Our children are filled with the spirit of anticipation. But we also know that we must be patient and wait for the good things to come. With our building project at the school the kids and staff are very much looking forward to being able to use the new facilities. However, we need to be patient as there is still much work needed to be done. We all had the hope that the Christmas Program would be able to be performed within the new gym. However, there have been some delays and changes that needed to be made. We are still very excited, that whenever we will be able to begin using the new facilities, it will all be worth the wait. More information will be included in next weekend's bulletin about the many wonderful things that are being done within our parishes and school! In Christ, Fr. Dan E mployee and Leadership Meeting To All Tri-Parish Employees, Trustees and Members of Our Leadership Committees: There will be an Employee and Leadership meeting on Thursday, December 15 at 8:00 pm in the Freeport Sacred Heart Church Basement. Attendance for Employees and Trustees is required and we strongly encourage attendance from the Finance and Pastoral council members of our tri-parish community. The topics we will cover are: 1) protocol to follow for leadership and employees, 2) building/remodeling projects within the tri-parish, and 3) some changes from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) within our diocese. This meeting should not take more than an hour. If for some reason you are unable to attend, please contact Judy by calling the tri-parish office at 320-836-2143, or by email at [email protected].
