Slate is a fine-grained, homogeneous, metamorphic rock derived from an original shale-typesedimentary rock composed of clay or volcanic ash through low-grade regional metamorphism. The
result is a foliated rock in which the foliation may not correspond to the original sedimentary layering.
When expertly "cut" by striking with a specialized tool in the quarry, many slates will form smooth flat
sheets of stone which have long been used for roofing and floor tiles and other purposes.

Quartzite is a hard metamorphic rock which was originally sandstone. Sandstone is converted into
quartzite through heating and pressure usually related to tectonic compression within orogenic belts.
Pure quartzite is usually white to gray, though quartzite often occur in various shades of pink and red
due to varying amounts of iron oxide.

Limestone is a sedimentary rock composed largely of the minerals calcite and aragonite, which are
different crystal forms of calcium carbonate. Limestone is very common in architecture, especially in
Europe and North America. Many landmarks across the world, including the Great Pyramid and its
associated complex in Giza, Egypt, are made of limestone.

Stockyard & Packaging
We use very strong wooden packaging, which
is suitable for long-distance delivery and
hence no damage for shipping the stone.
Pictures are taken of each container for
records as a safeguard against any
mishappenings. Available in all sizes as
mentioned in the Catalogue. Our Stones
Packaging Team loads slabs and tiles in 20
feet containers, with 20 ton capacity. The
crates are fumigated before dispatch. Personal
care is taken in brazing and latching the crates
to avoid damage during transit.
Most stringent quality control procedures are
applied to all our products to ensure the best
grade of all stone products.
