A Few Technology Guidelines
• For those of you participating
remotely:
– Use chat box on screen to ask a question
– Audio will play over your computer
speakers
– Breakouts – call your assigned phone
number
– Screen frozen? Refresh your browser.
– If you need additional tech support, contact
us using the chat feature or email
4
• In Room Participants:
– When you want to ask a
question, please wait for
someone to hand you a
microphone so that remote
participants can hear you.
As much as possible, we want remote participants to feel as if they are
in the room with us.
Objectives For Today
• Learn more about what Resilient Leadership
(RL) is and how it can benefit you and ORA
• Clarify what the RL Program consists of, and
what your participation in it will look like
• Discuss RL coaching – how it works and what
you can expect
• Introduce Symposium and how it can support
your on-going learning during this program
5
Today’s Agenda
• Why Resilient Leadership?
• Define and Discuss Resilient Leadership (RL)
• Provide an Overview of the RL Program
• Highlight RL Training Sessions
• Define and Discuss Coaching (both individual and group)
• Clarify Participant Commitment Requirements
• Introduce Symposium
• Complete Introduction to Resilient Leadership
6
Why Resilient Leadership?
• The purpose of the RL program is to strengthen
the resilience of ORA leaders at all levels and in
doing so, to build a more resilient organization.
7
Defining Resilience
• What does “resilience” mean to you?
8
Reminder to Remote Participants:
To ask a question, use the remote chat box in
the corner of your screen. Eve will read
submitted questions out loud so the
facilitators can address them.
ORA leaders will be more resilient leading to
• Enhanced focus
• Greater efficiencies and productivity
• Stronger relationships and more effective collaboration
• Increased ability to manage conflict
• More effective problem solving
… and increased capacity to deal with complex challenges
Resilient Leaders…
Resilient Leaders: Lead with calm, clarity and conviction in the midst of anxiety provoked by increasing complexity and accelerating change. These individuals lead from strength, know how to care for themselves emotionally, spirituality and physically, and can sustain their leadership efforts over time.
9
Small Group Discussion
• Introduce yourself to your fellow breakout group
members
• How is this definition of Resilient Leadership
relevant to the challenges ORA is facing?
• What part of the definition most resonates with
you?
10
Reminder to Remote Participants:
For Breakout Sessions, dial in to your
assigned conference line.
