Such national meetings are held every year in which all Karyakartas (volunteers) from every province (prant), from all over the country, who take care of the work of the Prachar Vibhag (Promotion Wing). In 2020, this meeting was held in Lucknow and in 2019 it was held in Bhopal. This year 76 volunteers from 10 regions and 30 provinces out of a total of 11 regions participated. Sri Kashipati, Akhil Bhartiya Organising Secretary, and Sri Pramod Bapat, Prachar Pramukh (Area Promotion Head), Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, West Zone were especially present in this meeting. Kashipati Ji, while guiding everyone said that the workers of Prachar Vibhag should increase their studies and technical skills. He further said that in all the provinces, contact should be made with the people writing in newspapers and magazines; help in promoting the implementation of the National Education Policy; broadcasting successful experiments of Vidya Bharati in Shishu Vatika through multimedia, etc. He said that it is necessary to study the basics of Sri Avnish Bhatnagar, National Secretary, said that the National Education Policy is India-centric and the subjects covered in it are in line with our views. Therefore, our responsibility in its implementation increases.

communicated to the society. Further, the promotion wing should talk of what is the place of education in religion, in today's context. The four chapters of the Constitution - Preamble, Civil Duties, Rights, and Directive Principles of Policy should be communicated to the new generation. Sri Pramod Bapat said that magazines (Newsletters) represent our views in society, so their content should be evaluated. There is a need to make efforts to get in touch with journalism inst i tutes and develop our own institution in a befitting manner. In the two-day meeting, Sri Ravi Kumar, a member of the Central Prachar Vibhag, while discussing the topic of education, said that India-centric education has to be created through the media. Therefore, we need t o p r e p a r e a c c o r d i n g l y using different media. From

the point of view of India-centric educat ion, the v is ion and understanding of Vidya Bharati on the subject and what is happening on this outside our system should be well known to Prachar Vibhag team. Sri Avnish Bhatnagar, National Secretary, discussed in detail the National Education Policy and highlighted the role of P r a c h a r V i b h a g i n i t s implementation. He said that the National Education Policy is

India-centric and the subjects covered in it are in line with our views. Therefore, our responsibility in its implementation increases. He also talked on the topic of feature writing, emphasizing that our writing should be acceptable to the readers. The meeting was especially supported by the Institute of Journalism, MIMCJ College, Ahmedabad. Two experts from there, Sri Kaushal Upadhyay and Sri Luv Tyagi gave a presentation on how to increase the reach of content in video making and social media. Apart from this, discussion on topics like narration, social media, Facebook algorithm, news collection, editing and dispatching, news analysis, cyber security, etc. were held in different sessions. In the last session, the next action plan was prepared regionally.

Solar light equipment distr ibution was done by Bhartiya Shiksha Samiti in Jammu Kashmir province. It is like a solar light torch, whose battery is charged by the s u n l i g h t a n d e l e c t r i c i t y, mobiles can be charged in these lights. These lights were distributed in the remote, rural, mountainous backward areas of Jammu- Kashmir as well as in the border areas. About 7000 s o l a r l i g h t s h a v e b e e n distributed to such needy people. People who have been g i v e n t h e s e l i g h t s h a v e appreciated this effort of Vidya Bharat. They said that there is a lot of power problem in their area, sometimes there is no electricity for many days, due to which even mobiles are not able to be charged. Now, with these solar lights, there will be a facility to work in the evening even in the dark, and their mobiles will also be charged. The children will also get ease in their education. All these lights were distributed through the school, which made a list of the needy people and then they were cal led to the school and informed about the first solar lights and distributed them in the presence of the local dignitaries. All these solar lights were made available with the help of Vidya Bharati's mentor Sr i Brahm Ratna Aggarwal of USA, and in collaboration with Sri Rajendra Prasad Khaitan, Vice President of Vidya Bharati Akhil Bhartiya Shiksha Sansthan.

Sri Ramdayal Sain, an alumnus of Shree Balram Senior Secondary Adarsh Vidya Mandir, Bassi Jaipur, is an inspiration for the youth. A Masters in Social Work and a certified Life Skill Trainer, Sri Ramdayal has been involved with social development activities since when he was in school. He gives the entire credit to his teachers at his school, who, he feels, has taught him that giving back to the society and helping youth to shape their future is his first duty. He is the Admin Head of Adarsh Shiksha Samiti, Jaipur (52 School Network of Vidya Bharati

AVM Schools in Jaipur Rural).

S r i R a m d a y a l h a s b e e n awarded with Governor's Scout Award (1999) and Rashtrapati Scout Award (2000). He also got associated with National Social Services and was adjudged Best NSS Cadet in 2002. In 2005 he founded SAMAJIK YUVA SANGATHAN SANSTHAN (SYSS) and started implementing various social development programs in assoc ia t i on w i th na t i ona l and international development agencies like European Union and World Bank. He has also participated in numerous national / international events including Commonwea l t h You th Summi t Malaysia (2017) and Youth Delegation to China (2015). For his exemplary work in the social development field at such a young age, he was awarded with National Youth Award 2010-11.

“We all do things for ourselves, our own comfort and development, but the happiness and peace that you get when you do something selflessly for others cannot be measured. I have learned this at a very tender age from

my school. I have studied in th is schoo l t i l l my 5 th standard and I believe that the education of my whole life was completed in these years. Inspiration Behind His

Social Work

In the present day fast paced life, people often forget or don't have the inclination to think or take action to help others in need. One becomes so engrossed in daily grind that they don't have time to spare for betterment of the society, country or environment. Traditionally Indian culture has given much value to the act of social service and social responsibility. The same values have been promoted by all Vidya Bharati schools, resulting in generations of alumni working towards the betterment of the society and environment around them. One such social conscious alumnus is Sri Gunti Srinivas from Telangana.

Sri Srinivas is an ex student of Sr i Saraswathi Shishu Mandir, Huzurabad, located in Karimnagar district of Telangana. He had studied in the school till 7th standard and passed out in the year 1981.

P r o f e s s i o n a l l y h e i s a businessman with experience of running a successful business for over two decades. He is in the business of manufacturing cement spun and RCC pipes.

Along wi th being a wel l -established business person, Sri Srinivas is an avid social worker and is

associated wi th several social p r o j e c t s . I n 1 9 9 6 h e s t a r t e d Vivekananda Youth Association aimed at development of local youth and harnessing the passion of such individuals for betterment of the society. Till date the organisation has been running successfully for over 20 years. He also organises regular Village health camps, blood donation camps and plantation drives. For the past 14 years Sri Srinivas has been guiding as the president of a men's Thrift cooperative society, named Swami Vivekananda Purushula Podupu Sangam in Huzurabad, which he had started more than a decade ago. The organization was started in order to provide financial help and stability to village residents and make them self-sufficient. He is also associated with RSS and runs several social development projects with their help.

While speaking about his childhood school, Sri Srinivas thanked his teachers for helping him to understand the importance of Social service and gave them full credit to them for inspir ing him to be a responsible citizen. He is still in contact with his school and acts as the treasurer.
