FEBRUARY 25, 2018 SECOND SUNDAY OF LENT Growing in faith and understanding is a life-long process. It is reflected in each of our personal lives, just as it was refected within Judaism and Christianity. God’s covenant with Israel was expressed in many dramatic ways to increase their understanding; and the disciples and those who followed them learned slowly who Jesus is. Lent is an opportunity to fucus on who Jesus is for each of us. “This is my beloved Son. The diocese will only allow us to borrow one third of the cost of the project which would be approximately $1,730,000. So we will need to raise another $344,800 before the construction can be completed. We have on hand from the Family of Faith $70,308.05, and a total of $1,136,079.45 as a closing balance with the Chancery, as of December 31, 2017. We have paid another bill from the consultant for $1,695.00, to cover the pay period of November 1, 2017 - January 31, 2018.
