If you have been given a hospitalisation date, we encourage you to pre-register with us

as early as possible to ensure admission without any complications.

PRE-ADMISSION

Insurance Guidelines

Health Insurance eases the financial burden of treatment while also allowing for saving

since the premium on health insurance policy is eligible for Income Tax deduction.

We offer Cashless Facility, where the insurance company directly pays the hospital for

the hospitalization expenses relieving the patient / family from the burden of making

payment.

Estimation of Hospital Bills

Our staff will generate an estimation of your hospital charges during admission.

The estimation includes doctors’ professional fees but does not include emergency

visits, cross referrals, cases with complications and charges for any procedure not

specified at the time of admission. Therefore, we seek your understanding of the fact

that the actual amount may vary from the estimate given.

Things to understand when using the Cashless Facility

Insurance card, proper ID & local address proof needed for processing

Pre-authorization approval mandatory – may take up to 24 hours for approval

Patient can only be discharged after receiving final approval from the insurance

company, as this is the policy of insurance companies which needs to be followed

During holidays / strikes the process may get delayed

Apollo Cradle has no control over the approval amount, capping or limit

In case of any query from the Insurance provider, the process gets delayed

by 4 to 6 hours every time

If there is any rejection from the TPA while completing the insurance process,

Apollo Cradle is not responsible for it

New born baby claim process will take more than 24 hours to get pre-authorization

/ approval (Parents should enrol the new born baby with the chosen Insurance

provider immediately to avail the benefit)

Enhancement, if sought, will happen only at the time of discharge

Non-medical items are not paid / reimbursed by Insurance providers

Room rent (to the extent of eligibility as per policy)

Nursing charges (to the extent of eligibility as per policy)

Surgeon / Anesthetist fees

Surgeon, Assistant’s fees

Duty Doctor charges

OT / Labor room charges

OT medicine

Recovery area charges

The Cashless Facility for insurance package does not include:

Doctors’ ward visits

Doctors’ extra visit (sundays, public holidays, nights, emergencies,

early mornings etc.)

Extra medicine used

NST / CTG charges

Scans (emergency scans during

night will be charged extra)

Emergency visit charges of INR 5,000

to INR 10,000 will be applicable for

delivery / procedure between 10 PM

and 6 AM and on sundays / public holidays

Blood and transfusion charges

Other specialist consultation referral charges

The Cashless Facility for insurance package includes:

Admission Day Guidelines

Admission formalities will be done at the Admission / Billing counter situated in the basement.

Documents to be brought at the time of Admission

Admission Advice from your Doctor

Letter of Guarantee for payment from your corporate / TPA,

details (in case of insurances) and Photo ID of the patient

Copy of VISA / Passport (if you are not an Indian citizen)

Deposit

A deposit is required at the time of pre-admission or admission

the sum payable varies on your choice of accommodation

Information on hospital rates / charges is available in the tariff card

at the Billing section

If you are required to undergo any surgery, the entire amount / 80% of the

package amount for the procedure will have to be deposited at the time of

admission; subsequent payment requirements will be intimated to you from

time to time depending on your treatment

Please ensure that payments are made within 24 hours of intimation

Admission Time

Admission for Day Surgery or Elective Surgery has to be completed

before the surgery commences or as advised by your doctor

In order to avoid unnecessary delays, please be punctual so that the

admission procedures and tests, if required, can be completed in time

Stay Confirmation

Due to exigencies of circumstance or emergencies, we can confirm your

choice of accommodation only on the day of admission

On completion of the admission procedure, you would be escorted to the

room allotted to you by our Guest Relations Executive

In-Room Facilities

Your room has been specially designed to provide the comfort of a home

ambience. All rooms are air-conditioned, have a Nurse Call system, cable TV,

telephone, in-room food, in-room newspaper and in-room bathroom facilities –

with toiletries.

Attendant

You will be provided with a trained attendant to cater to your needs. At Apollo

Cradle, our attendants display utmost patience and deliver an experience that

replicates the warmth and comfort of a home.

Nurse on call

Please do not hesitate in using the Nurse Call button in case you need assistance.

Our nurses are primed to attend to all your emergency requirements and needs.

Housekeeping

Housekeeping will clean your room three times a day to ensure a hygienic

ambience

Hot water will be available 24 hrs.

To save water, please ensure minimum wastage

Please do not flush solid waste such as cotton bandages, sanitary napkins etc.

Visiting Regulations

Number of Visitors

It is usually best to limit visitors to two at a time, to respect the comfort

of all our patients. We encourage families to discuss scheduling their visits

in order not to overwhelm the patient by visiting all at one time.

Food is served as per the instructions of the Doctor and the Dietician

NICU (Neonatal Intensive Care Unit)

Equipped with a fully functional team of neonatologists and qualified nurses proficient in handling premature deliveries, attending to babies who require specialized medical attention and any other medical emergency

NICU is equipped with first-class equipment like monitoring units, open and closed incubators, ventilators, analyzers to assist in ventilator management, digital syringe and infusion pumps, piped medical gases and suction and an Intensive Care Unit

Your baby’s safety is ensured 24x7 with timely visits by our Neonatologists and the constant presence of resident Pediatricians

Nurses and other professional staff work round-the-clock to reach the best potential of care

MICU (Medical Intensive Care Unit)

Provides exceptional day-and-night medical and surgical care for patients with skilled nursing care and respiratory support

Individual attention and care is rendered to all the patients in ICU by a trained and highly qualified team

Noise

Patients’ relatives and guests are requested to maintain absolute silence within

the hospital premises for the peace and tranquility of patients who need it most.

Keep children supervised and noise to the minimum.

FEEDBACK

General Discharge Procedures

We will start processing your final hospital bill once your Doctor deems you fit

for discharge. On receipt of the final bill, please settle the payments, understand

the prescribed medication from the nursing staff and collect your belongings.

Please inform the patient care coordinator if you prefer an earlier discharge.

Payment of Hospital Bills

During your stay with us, you may periodically receive interim bills which need to

be paid within 24 hours. All bills must be paid before leaving the Hospital.

Payment may be made at the in-patient billing counter by:

Cash / Card / DD

No cheques will be entertained

If your employer or insurance company is paying your bill, a letter of guarantee

from the concerned authority is required at the time of admission.

betel nut, smoking or drinking alcohol is not permitted in the Hospital premises. Please do

not dispose any waste or rubbish anywhere other than in the waste bins provided for the

Please note that Hospital shall not be responsible for refusal of payment by you, your

employer or your insurer and in such a case, you will be personally liable for settlement

of the bill.
