1.2.1 Additional connection options with MFZ.6, MFZ.7 and MFZ.8 field distributors• The DC 24 V supply is connected with an X29 terminal block with two M4 x 12
studs and a pluggable X40 terminal.

• The X29 terminal block can be used as an alternative to the X20 terminal (seechapter "Unit structure") for looping through the DC 24 V supply voltage. Bothstuds are connected internally to the 24 V connection at terminal X20.

2 Function2.1 Operating notes
WARNINGElectric shock caused by dangerous voltages at the connections, cables and motorterminals.When the device is switched on, dangerous voltages are present at the connectionsas well as at any connected cables and motor terminals. This also applies evenwhen the device is inhibited and the motor is at standstill.Severe or fatal injuries.• Do not switch under load.• Before performing any work on the device, disconnect it from the voltage supply.
Note that dangerous voltages can occur at the terminals and connections for upto 1 minute after the controller is switched off.
• Block the output stage of the inverter before switching at the output of the device.
WARNINGElectric shock from capacitors that have not been fully discharged.Severe or fatal injuries.• Disconnect the inverter from the power. Observe the minimum switch-off time
after disconnection from the supply system:– 1 minute
WARNINGRisk of crushing if the motor starts up unintentionally.Severe or fatal injuries• Observe the startup instructions.• Deactivate all control signals.
WARNINGDanger of burns due to hot surfaces of the device (e.g. the heat sink).Serious injuries.• Do not touch the device until it has cooled down sufficiently.
INFORMATION• The maximum output frequency in any operating mode is 120 Hz.• If the maximum output frequency is exceeded, the status LED of the MOVIMOT®
inverter flashes slowly red (error 08 "speed monitoring").

3.1 Inspection and maintenance3.1.1 MOVIMOT® inverter
The MOVIMOT® inverter is maintenance-free. SEW‑EURODRIVE does not prescribeany inspection or maintenance work for the MOVIMOT® inverter.Exception: For extended storage, refer to the instructions in the "Service" > "Extendedstorage" chapter.
3.1.2 MotorThe motor requires regular inspection and maintenance work.Observe the notes and instructions in chapter "Inspection/Maintenance" of the motoroperating instructions.
3.1.3 Gear units (only for MOVIMOT® gearmotors)The gear unit requires regular inspection and maintenance work.Observe the notes and instructions in chapter "Inspection/Maintenance" of the gearunit operating instructions.
3.1.4 RepairsOnly SEW-EURODRIVE is authorized to carry out repairs.
3.2 MOVIMOT® device replacementMOVIMOT®devicereplacement
