lavish ensemble, rousing back ground music, smart Alec one-liners, or any form of tricker

to indulge you , Gravity is the simplest of stories to be told on the big screen. Matt

Kowalsky (Clooney) and his space partner Ryan Stone (Bullock) are astronauts trying to

salvage a non operating American space station. What seems like just another day for this

space hopping duo turns into a life threatening situation when a rogue Russian missile

damages a distant satellite sending waves of dangerous debris towards their ongoing

mission. It is a matter of survival for these two who face the biggest challenge of returning

back to their mother planet.

Whats hot

3D has never felt so real and over powering like it does in Gravity. The panoramic opening

shot of the film is utterly jaw dropping. You cant help but go oooooh!!, as you see the blue

backdrop of earth with these astronauts going about their work like its just another

mission! Curaon manages to engage us not just visually but also emotionally as we get

closer to Clooney and Bullock, knowing their background stories. Even though whats

happening on screen is mind blowing, there is a deeper track going on with these

characters. When the ball starts rolling and disaster strikes their mission for the first time,

It takes a lifetime to compile such

masterpiece. The execution is next to none, every department set new

standards. Each frame melts in your eyes.

If you love space, adventure, and technology, then you won a ticket to

Jupiter. If not, it will still take you to space :-)

After this every kid would like to be an astronaut.

Are all of you on crack? She uses a fire extinguisher to propel herself to a space station?

She randomly pushes buttons and manages to defy the mandarin chinese dashboard on

the escape vehicle? She is submerged in a suit that requires two people to get into and

escapes it 30 feat below surface? She lands in water, but conveniently enough swimming

distance from land? The story is so ridiculous it defies imagination yet everyone is raving

about it. A real testament to how gullible people are. Unreal.

No "smart Alec one-liners"? That described half the dialong given to Clooney's character.

I thought this movie was amazing. The breathtaking visual effects and the story, show tha

you don't have to have more than 2 actors to make an awesome movie. I joked about this

movie when I saw the trailers but seeing the movie on the big screen make me think

completely different. It's a much watch!!

Consider the initial impulse to write this story. Consider the directors other work, that he

wrote with his brother. What is their outlook on life? What is their background? Perhaps

Cauron is a reader of Rilke's poetry, wherein Rilke will talk about "angels not knowing if the

are holding the living or the dead in their arms." if these characters are to represent life

forces, then what forces are they? Is the Clooney character there to accentuate the sense

of loss the lead has in her? Is he an angel offering her ecstatic life back to a being that can

only see the tools in her hand, and not the magnificence? For me ( spoiler alert). A more

daring ending may have been to pull the camera back as she descends back to earth and

show only the earth and start to move slowly toward it. No landing, but completion. But, yo

spend 80 million, you've got investors. Kubrick got away with it. (speaking of big returns).
