Concept Statement

. Create a list of all users that may visit your site (not from the WWW but those youʼd invite). The users of my site will be potential employers and other students looking for inspiration and/or ideas, hopefully the site will help those students find the inspiration they need. . What will each of those users want to see in order to enjoy their visit to your site? The user will first see my personality show through the design of the website. I'm hoping my website will help portray who I am and my fun, outgoing attitude while still maintaining a sense of professionalism. Next they will be able to explore my projects and see the work I have done. . Name your intended audience (the person(s) you need to persuade.) Future employers . Describe what you need to inform and persuade them of: Promote my: my skills as a graphic designer Goals of the site are: to showcase my projects and resume My ultimate message/philosophy (about who you are): I'm fun and outgoing, easy to work with, hard worker, talented. What is the story you are telling? That I have a dream and desire to work in the design field and make my living with graphic design. To be able to do what I love and love what I do. . Write a 200 word concept statement based on the user, your persuasion, navigation and the assets. I want my website to look very clean and professional. I want the background to be white with pops of color, whether that be in my work or my text. I don't want my work to clash with a background, so that's another reason why I want it to remain white. I think a white background will also help keep the look clean as well as professional so that I will be taken seriously. The colors that pop in the website will help portray my personality and would like to have warm colors (see mood board). The navigation will be simple, all at the top under my name (see sketches) and will remain at the top with my name or logo through out the entire site to create consistency. My site will help persuade people to hire me and hopefully showcase the talent I have and the skills that I have learned while at the Art Institute. . List the assets you need to persuade the user: Which 7 (minimum) projects? scans of what?, photos of what objects? images from what computer graphics program? what descriptive text? list them. I feel like this is a tricky question because I, still, have so much to learn and so many projects to do still. I don't know what specific projects I would put on my website yet but I would like to have a variety of categories. Those categories would include: identity, print and web. Within those categories I would have work that included posters I've done, logos, business cabinets, etc. . For the purpose of structuring your website portfolio pages, list the categories of work you will show. (for a Photographer, for example, it may be portrait, product, sports photography categories).
