    INTRODUCTION

    SKILL MATRIX is a chart or a database whereoperators past performance on various

    operations are recorded in a systematic wayfor the future reference.

    Skill matrix is updated at a regular intervalor after the completion of each style;operators current performance is updated onthe database.

    Line supervisors take minimum time to find and select themost efficient operators for a particular operation.

    For line balancing, operators can be selected according to thework content.

    When someone is absent, supervisor can easily find suitableperson from the skill matrix table and thus replace.

    The manufacturing cost of the jewellery is approx.Rs 7-8, which can be sold at a higher cost.
