IKON asked DR.B several ques-tions to reveal more to his dedi-cated fans.What is your legal name?Brian Brown. I decided to use a stage name to be more recognised for my dedicated fans. The name suits this industry of R&B and hip-hop a lot, where I was hoping to find more fans.Did you enjoy the build-up to your fame and who inspired you?The experience was very tiring yet exhilarating. I have always enjoyed creating my own music to entertain people but, the facilities weren’t available. I wrote my own songs and raps and even stood in the streets performing. I always dreamed of this moment, I didn’t think it will come true. The big-gest inspiration of my life is my Uncle. He was a true man and has helped me to get where I am today.Do you believe that your earlier environments influenced your passion for music?Yes, defiantly. I believe that it had a great impact. We didn’t have much money; therefore there wasn’t lot to do in my area. A lot of my peers went into gangs and crime, but I have never agreed with that. That’s when I discov-ered my talent, and I always follow the saying, believe in your

dream. Now I want to influence my dedicated fans to follow theirs. Do you believe music is in your blood?Yes yes yes. I know it is in my blood. I have grown up surrounded my music. I have always been jamming to tunes.What do you want your next achievement to be?I want to be able to interact my audience within the music, and gain a bigger name within the music industry. This is just the beginning. I will never stop until I have to. DR.B‘s new fame has al-ready gained him recognition worldwide, gaining him a well deserved four Grammy awards including best album and best breakthrough act. So what’s next for the big Dr. B?He says this is just the begin-ning; it is in the eyes of his dedicated fans. He has a tour coming up and a second album out next month already. Well a rumour says he is hitting America next to show them how talented he is and we can’t wait to see what this year holds for him.

not taking anything for granted. I’m a busy man nowadays and hardly get time to see my family but it’s all worth it I’m living my dream. So Dr. B is living the dream but missing his family not very hip hop but then again a little bird told us that he used to quite the rebellion. The well-recognised breakthrough artist told us he isn’t proud of some parts of his past, but that is what has in-fluenced me to this day. I have learned what I want to do with my life, and intend to follow it and carry it on for as long as I can.
