Aimed at front line managers and agencies working in East Manchester

Six taster sessions were held across East Manchester

Flash cards were produced and used to help generate discussions around food memories and shared experiences

There were two Celebration events held at Ashbury Meadow Children’s Centre and Heathfield Resource Centre

Articles in local newspaper The continuation of the ‘Taste of East

Manchester’ brand Inspiration for other events The establishment of a 10 week Food

Recent exercise estimated cost per officer/manager attending = £9,015 (calculated on 10 attendees)

Course is of significant benefit to new starters in New East Manchester Local knowledge (history and present) Regeneration infrastructure Partnership meetings and forums (i.e. LTM, LAPs,

WCSG)

Shadowing other agencies Agencies from 06/07 have agreed to deliver

small induction to new employees in NEM.

All officers attending the course are involved in future partnership work and multi-agency projects; Libraries and Sports Development Older people and Ashbury Meadow Safer Neighbourhoods and schools SureStart and old people Sports Development and NCH
