Finally eliminate the guesswork from electrocoat troubleshoong! JP Tech’s “Sub” (or Submersible Data Acquision Unit) is a patented diagnosc tool that allows you to see everything that happens inside your electrocoat tanks. Test the condion of anolyte cells and electrical connecons, pinpoint complex problems (such as rupturing and pinholing) in the e-coat process, assess areas of weakness in your system, and gather informaon on tank chemistry and film buildup all from one unit si+ng right inside. JP Tech’s “Sub” is designed for a wide variety of applicaons and substrates. The “Sub” is designed to capture DC voltage, AC voltage and ripple, and current. Problems that would normally be impossible to troubleshoot become simple to see with the data collected by the “Sub.” All of this informaon is recorded to a microSD card for analysis on a computer. Charts like the one on the right are built from combining data from each probe (in different locaons on a unit) to get a comprehensive view into the E-coat process.

Finally eliminate the guesswork from electrocoat troubleshoong!

JP Tech’s “Sub” (or Submersible Data Acquision Unit) is a patented diagnosc tool that allows you to

see everything that happens inside your electrocoat tanks. Test the condion of anolyte cells and

electrical connecons, pinpoint complex problems (such as rupturing and pinholing) in the e-coat

process, assess areas of weakness in your

system, and gather informaon on tank

chemistry and film buildup all from one unit

si+ng right inside. JP Tech’s “Sub” is

designed for a wide variety of applicaons

and substrates.

The “Sub” is designed to capture DC voltage,

AC voltage and ripple, and current. Problems

that would normally be impossible to

troubleshoot become simple to see with the

data collected by the “Sub.”

All of this informaon is recorded to a

microSD card for analysis on a computer.

Charts like the one on the right are built

from combining data from each probe (in

different locaons on a unit) to get a

comprehensive view into the E-coat process.

Baery Charge: Min. 14 hr. charge me from full discharge to 100% @ 12V DC

Power: 12V DC USB cable for charging

Trigger Voltage: 2V DC (Unit will not record unl one probe reaches 2V DC)

Sample frequency: 500 milliseconds

I/O Connecons: USB Mini-B; MicroSD Card slot

Dimensions: 11”L x 10”W x 5”D

Weight: 5 lbs.

What can the “Sub” do?

With the ability to capture 7 channels of connuous data, JP Tech’s “Sub” can detect and help

pinpoint a wide range of problems in an e-coat line, such as:

• Ground faults

• Recfier problems

• Anode membrane problems

• Throw power problems

• Points of rupture

The ability to measure AC ripple and

current can give insight into complex

problems, such as the AC leakage

shown in the chart on the right.

In addion, the “Sub” can be used as a

powerful quality assurance tool to

cerfy your e-coat process and discover

potenal issues before they arise.
