Hi my names Vicki and I’m a completely independent wedding planner based in Paphos, I’m not linked to any one venue or hotel so I can remain completely impartial. When I started “Tie the Knot Cyprus, Weddings by Vicki” I wanted to offer a very personal service at an affordable price and in a style different to all the others. I prefer to create weddings especially for the client depending on their dreams & personalities, which is why I prefer to get to know my clients first and then create you both your very own unique package from scratch and to your budget. I make sure that all of my prices are very clear and transparent from the start so there are no surprises along the way, that’s why when I quote for a wedding I clearly define any extra charges that you many incur such as the wedding licence paid directly to the town hall. It’s also important you know all the facts from the start with regards conditions at venues, extra costs, etc. so this can make for a long email but at least I know I’ve informed you of everything there is to know. When it comes to advertising there is nothing better than personal recommendation so I offer my clients a fantastic professional personal service at an affordable price so you recommend me in future to their friends and family. My prices may be very competitive but you’ll not be compromising on quality or service!

Flowers are the perfect accessory for any wedding, they can be just the finishing touch to your bridal look or bring together any ceremony or reception venue. We work with a wonderful local florist and all flowers are delivered just before the ceremony in order that they stay as fresh as possible in the Cyprus Sun.

I’ve chosen a few of my favorite bouquets and arrangements for you to choose from, but don’t forget we’re happy to provide a quote for any bouquets or floral arrangements that you like. When choosing flowers there are many things to think about… of course the first thing that pops into brides (and grooms) heads are colour and type but when choosing your wedding flowers you also need to think about shape, design, meaning and much more.

LOOSE Hand Tied Bouquet:A collection of loosely tied

flowers and ribbon.

Bouquet Styles

Round Posy: Simple and Elegant round shaped

posy.

Teardrop Bouquet: This bouquet resembles a tear-

drop. The flowers are more structured in order to form the

teardrop shape.

Long Stemmed Bouquet: Usually arranged in such a way that the stems lay against the bride’s arm, with the cluster of flower heads near her elbow.

Cascade Bouquet:This bouquet resembles a water-fall. The flowers “spill” out of the front of the bouquet, with the flowers loosely trailing

downwards.

HOW TO PICK THE RIGHT BOUQUET FOR YOU YOUR DRESS STYLE

• Ball Gown: The bigger the dress the bigger the bouquet. Make sure it’s not too small that it gets lost in all that fabric. Round Posies are traditionally suited to the ball gown as well as Teardrops.

• Slim silhouette: long stems, simple bunches and small posies work with this style of dress.

• Embellished dresses: If your dress is busy with lots of embellish-ments keep to a simple bouquet so as not to detract from the detail of the dress.

BRIDESMAIDS

You want to keep your bridesmaid’s bouquets in proportion to yours so either choose;• the same size but with your bouquet have a something slightly dif-

ferent, either colour changes or flower type changes • or you can choose a mini version of your bouquet but you don’t want

them to look too small.

YOUR HEIGHT

• Petite: Tear drop shape bouquets will lengthen your silhouette, or a long stemmed bouquet will also suit as it won’t overpower your physique.

• Tall: Large round posies.• Height of your Groom: If your groom is taller than you even when you

are in heels you have some flexibility with shape. If your groom is the same height or smaller than you … stay away from teardrop and trailing, as this elongates you (making you appear taller). So even if you are usually the same height as your man with a tear drop or trailing wedding bouquet on the day you will appear taller than your hubby so go for a Round Posy.

YOUR FIGURE

• Pear (Defined waist, Larger hips and thighs, Narrower shoulders than hips, wear larger size bottom than top): Choose a Long Stemmed bouquet and avoid tear drops and Cascades as these will draw the attention downwards.

• Column (A solid square frame, same size top and bottom, small bust, little waist definition, flat hips and bottom): / Pencil (Slim Long frame, Same size top as bottom, Small bust, Little waist definition, Narrow hips and small bottom): Choose a Medium to large Tear drop, Cascade or Long Stems and avoid Small or Round bouquets, also try and avoid holding your bouquet around your middle.

• Apple (Rounded shoulders, Fullness around middle, Flattish bottom, Slimmer or average legs, Average to big Bust): Choose a Large Tear drop or Cascades to help slim your look and avoid Round Posies.

• Neat Hourglass: (Shoulders in proportion with hips, defined waist, curved bust and bottom, you wear the same size top and bottom): You’re lucky any shape will suit!

• Full Hourglass: (Bigger thighs, fuller bottom and hips, small waist, fuller bust): Choose from Large Posies, Long and Full bouquets such as Tear drop or Cascade but avoid Smaller

• bouquets as these will highlight your top and bottom and make you appear larger.• Strawberry / Inverted Triangle (Square Solid Shoulder line, Flatter hips and Bottom, wider

number of photographs.
