Welcome to Firehouse, Alex! Alex Costas. Many of you might be thinking that name and face sure seems familiar. For those of you who may not recognize Alex, he was on campus last summer working with Firehouse Subs to establish HR needs for HQ staff members. He officially joined the Firehouse Subs family on Feb. 1 as the vice president of human resources. In this new role, Alex will provide leadership in developing and implementing the HR strategy for Firehouse Subs, which will support the overall business plan and strategy of the company. He most recently served as an independent consultant (hence last summer’s assessment of the HR policy and program at Firehouse Subs) and prior to that he was with Florida Blue for 16 years, working in HR, business development and strategic planning. Robin and Chris have been involved with the program for several years, donating the funds to
pay for the team uniforms. We will be looking for volunteers in March to help be “buddies” for the
kids at one of the games.
