MARKERS

Every member of the Club has a duty to act as a marker for Single events held on the Tathra Green. See the Bowls Co-ordinator for information regarding duties of a marker.

ADVICE TO pENNANT BOWlERS

1. Players must conform with R.N.S.W.B.A. Rules and Dress Regulations.

2. If you will not be available ensure, as far as practicable, that ample notice is given.

3. Ensure that you keep your Team Manager aware of your transport arrangements.

ADVICE TO BOWlERS

1. Leaders are responsible for mats and jacks at the end of a match.

2. Markers – every member of the club has a duty to act as marker for singles events and should be aware of duties of marker. (See Bowls Co-ordinator)

3. Don’t argue with the skipper on the shot to play.4. Don’t advise the skipper unless asked.5. Don’t dispute the umpires decision.6. Don’t give advice to players from the bank.

hINTS FOR BEgINNERS

1. Look after your greens.2. Do not stand on the edges.3. Bowls should not be dropped on the green.4. Matches, cigarette butts etc. should be placed in

litter bins, not in the ditch.5. Bowls should not be kicked until the shot has been

declared.6. After delivering a bowl a player should retire behind

the mat at least 2 metres.7. Be ready to play your shot – slow play does not

impress.8. Be still and quiet when a shot is being played.
