Stronger ShaftThe diameter o a Fristam FKL shat is up to 25% largerthan other manuacturers shats. Its made rom a solid pieceo 316L stainless steel and has a shorter overhung load to

withstand elevated pressures without breaking.

The FKLs stronger shat reduces rotor-to-housing contact.This deection in other pump shats causes premature wearor shats, rotors, and housing. With a Fristam, you wont needto replace or rebuild pumps nearly as oten.

Balanced Rotors

Fristam FKL rotors are balanced, meaning the support hub iscentered so that orce acts through the center o the rotor to keepthe lobes rom distorting. Other pumps unbalanced rotors do notdistribute orce evenly. At higher pressures, unbalanced rotors canbend at their tips (deection), urther damaging the pump.

The Gearbox The Business End

Low Maintenance LubricationThe FKL uses petroleum or ood grade oil instead o grease to lubricate its gears.With this design, the oil lasts eight times longer than grease and only needs to bechanged once every 4,000 hours. Using oil avoids the need or grease change-out

and eliminates grease-related contaminant build-up that reduces bearing lie.

Bearing-Supported GearsFristam gears are located between the rontand rear bearings or even load distributionand less shat deection. FKL gears arestraight-cut or easy timing.

Large BearingsThe FKL uses large double taperedbearings or longer bearing lie,meaning less maintenance. Quite

simply, larger means stronger, andstronger lasts longer.

The Gearbox Revolutionary DesignThe Fristam FKLs revolutionary split-style gearbox provides quick and easyaccess to bearings and shats (available on models 15250).

Using simple orcing studs,the gearbox halves can beseparated in less than oneminute.

Once separated, only a ew boltsneed to be loosened; then, theentire shat, gears, and bearingsassembly can be removed asone complete set.

Reassembly is just as simple,and there is no need or anarbor press to reinstall the shatassembly into the gearbox or to

join the two gearbox halves.

Easy MaintenanceClean ExteriorA rounded exterior provides a sleek look andmaximum cleanability. An ultra-clean stainless steelgearbox is optional or diicult environments.

Seamless Seal ChangeoverFKL seals are completely contained within acartridge. They can be pre-assembled and shelvedor easy, one-piece replacement.

Additionally, no housing or pump modifcation isneeded to change the Fristam FKL rom a singleseal to a double seal or rom an O-ring seal to a

mechanical seal.

Offset Rotor Bolts

Traditional rotor nuts can back-o when pumpingviscous products. Once loose, they can severelydamage pumps. The FKL is equipped with osetrotor bolts that lessen the unwinding orce o theproduct.

As it rotates eccentrically, the bolt provides naturalagitation to promote cleanability in the cavity.

Extended Housing StudsThe long housing studs guide the housing pastthe shat during assembly and disassembly. Thisprotects against housing-to-shat contact to preventaccidental seal and shat damage.

It has proved to clean perfectly anddrastically reduce our maintenance
