What is a Flexidock™?

A Flexidock™ is a 100% Australian made inflatable dry docking system designed to keep the hull of you boat

completely dry at the waterline, without the requirement for any lifting or removal from the water. A Flexidock™

keeps your boat completely dry whilst NEVER lifting it completely out of the water.

How dry will Flexidock™ keep my boat?

All aspects of your boat, including your hull and running gears (props, shafts, keels, and rudders) are all 100% dry. This is

achieved by the Flexidock™ high powered deck side/ on-board evacuation pump which removes all water from inside the submersed Flexidock™ sleeve. Once the sleeve is dry the

sensory pressure head turns the pump off, and an automated timer system checks for water re-entry, from rain or wake,

every 3 hours.

Can I really stop anti-fouling?

In short, yes! Once Flexidocked, your boat is completely dry and

therefore out of reach from any harsh marine environment. With this achieved every time your boat is

moored, Flexidock™ literally means you never have to anti-foul again!

Why should I get a Flexidock™?

Flexidock™ means the end of your boating day is now as enjoyable as the start by assisting in the berthing process,

especially in windy conditions.Along with full hull protection, the Flexidock™ inflatable tubing

perimeter (incorporating BarrierFoam ™) acts as a permanent fender system for your boat, protecting your boat every time it is docked as well as never leaving any nasty reminders of a less

than perfect Flexidock™ entry.

Why should I get a Flexidock™?

Every Flexidock™ is manufactured using the same specs employed

during the manufacturing of a number of defence and naval

products which Flexitank manufacture, and have done so

since 1984.

Why should I get a Flexidock™?

What does the internal mesh netting do?

Every Flexidock™ is supplied with our unique internal mesh netting system. This mesh is a polymer coated high strength

PVC based fabric which is welded to the submersed Flexidock™ sleeve.

The internal netting welded to the inside of any Flexidock system is vitally important - it allows air to travel between your

boats hull and the waterproof Flexidock sleeve.

Page 14: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 14

What does the internal mesh netting do?

The purpose of the mesh is simple – once the submersed sleeve is dry, the mesh is the critical in that it is the layer which allows air to flow between a boat’s hull and the submersed Flexidock™ sleeve.

This is VERY important – without this mesh netting, during long periods of dryness, the Flexidock™ sleeve could suction against the

hull of your boat, creating osmosis and possible blistering on your hull. Flexidock™ is currently only one of two dry docking companies

offering this internal sleeve protection anywhere in the world.

Page 15

Can a Flexidock™ damage my boat?

No. There are a few reasons for this. As the entire Flexidock™ system is manufactured from flexible polymer materials, it can

never damage your boat, no matter how hard you try. The unique Flexidock™ design means that once your boat is

Flexidocked, it becomes part of your boat’s structure instead of being a solid structure that works against your boat.

Page 16

Can a Flexidock™ damage my jetty?

No. As the Flexidock™ weighs approximately 70% less than older systems, as well as floating on the water, the system

works with your jetty instead of against it. Additionally, with the advent of our BarrierFoam™ system, there is not a jetty

design, or its underwater growth, that can damage your Flexidock™!

Page 17

Why is the Flexidock™ pump system not in the water?

We have spent countless hours devising a system whereby the water evacuation system is deck side of stored on your boat.

The reasons for this as pretty straightforward:- With the pump at the bottom of the sleeve, should something

go wrong (in preparing for the worst case scenario) or the pump needs to be surfaced, trying to access the pump, even

with the Flexidock™ completely dry, is a very difficult thing to do.

Page 18: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 18

Why is the Flexidock™ pump system not in the water?

- By having the pump out of the sleeve, any concerns from marinas and fellow boat owners about any electrolysis is

completely eradicated.

- In instances where a Flexidock™ gets bigger, having the pump deckside means we can utilise stronger pumps that are on the market, meaning the pump out time versus our competitors is

vastly reduced.

Page 19: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 19

Why is the Flexidock™ pump system not in the water?

- By removing the pump from the sleeve, we have removed the reliance on an electronic sensor to detect when water enters the sleeve, instead allowing the pump to operate on a timed

system. This is a far safer option – should the switch ever fail for some reason on a submersed pump option, trying to fix this

can become very problematic. With the Flexidock™ system, this is a concern that you never need to be worried about.

Page 20

Can I flush my motors inside Flexidock™?

Yes you certainly can and we recommend that you do flush your motors and also wash down your boat with fresh water on

your return. This will help to keep your boat in pristine condition.

Page 21: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 21

Why is the Flexidock™ system rectangular?

The shape makes docking so easy: Bow entry is a simple process and we can fit any type of hull

design or configuration in the same shaped Flexidock™. Furthermore, entering your dock is very simple – the design is

very forgiving, and you will never have any nasty hull mark reminders about that time you got it wrong.

Page 22: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 22

Why is the Flexidock™ system rectangular?

The shape adds to the life of your dock: Our 30 years in manufacturing flexible products has taught us a lot – but one thing in particular - that every fabric has its limits.

Working within these limits will extend the lifespan of the fabric, and therefore of the product. It also helps immensely with

limiting delamination: by having four EQUAL corners, any stress points are equalled around the entire perimeter of the dock,

limiting delamination issues and extending the Flexidock’s lifespan significantly – something no one else

in the industry can boast.

Page 23: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 23

Why is the Flexidock™ system rectangular?

Being rectangular = MORE docking options: No longer to you need to have a specifically made dock, costing you extra to have it customised, to suit your boat. A Flexidock™

will suit virtually ANY type of hull configuration.

Page 24: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 24

Why is the Flexidock™ system rectangular?

Our design means we keep our costs down: By utilising a universal shape, allowing Flexitank to streamline its

manufacturing procedures and hold stock of certain aspects of the Flexidock™ in pre-production, we are able to keep our costs

down, meaning you, our most important stakeholder, get what is now the most cost effective solution available anywhere in the

world, all the while keeping your hull dry AND saving you plenty of cash to put towards your next boating pride and joy!

Page 25: Flexidock - Frequently Asked Questions

Page 25

Unique in its design, the rectangular aspect of Flexidock provides a high-quality, low-cost alternative to bulky and expensive older

systems whilst NEVER lifting your boat from the water.
