The theme of the new design incorporates new and old pictures of SUU.
The wire basket on the table is replaced for a new, more modern look. By adding a bit of red, black, and white into the bowl, the rest of the theme can be tied into this area.
Instead of buying a new table, this one can be used, and the wood repainted to black in order to give a modern look that matches the rest of the new interior.

The ‘Southern Utah Pride’ is shown with yet another photograph of an older time at our favorite school.

Although black seems like a very bold color to apply to a wall, I think that by applying black, the ‘cave’ seems almost reduced in size and it gives the area much less empty space.

Keeping the red, white, and black colors of SUU alive, these artistic pieces provide visual stimulation, as well as add a certain life to the area.
The snowy SUU scene will replace the poster above the dishwasher area to serve as both a visual piece, as well as combine this area with the rest of the theme.
I think that by replacing the flooring with a much more contrasting floor will also help to create a much more interesting visual.

A red wall to add warmth and interest into the dining area. Red is often used in restaurants, and also stimulates appetite. Also, the Tables are replaced and/or repainted to a white color with black chairs to provide more thematic things.
A clock is placed in the center of the tables to provide a focal point, as well as be functional for the students.
Small details, such as the salt and pepper shakers provide interesting and new visual stimulation.
Can’t have new salt and pepper shakers without a new napkin holder….
SUU Pride is alive in more photographs of our school.
