Embraer invites all Phenom operators to attend the Flight
Operations Engineering Course (FOEC) which will be offered
this year in Dallas and Los Angeles. This is a course that for
years has been expanding the Embraer Airline customers’
flying knowledge all around the world. Now we are making
it available to our Executive Jets Customers and it is totally
focused on Phenom 100 and Phenom 300 operations.
“The entire course was well run and very useful in terms of
operations knowledge.“ - British Airline Company
The FOEC comprises a complete overview on the theory of
takeoff and landing performance, flight planning and weight
and balance, referring to the operations manuals (AFM/POH)
and software (OPERA and EDS). In addition, there will be a
familiarization with the use of the MEL, assisting operators
in making the right decision when dispatching the airplane.
The course also includes a safety seminar that will cover
an overview of occurrences related to the subjects covered
during the course as well as a case study.

Embraer expertise and customer feedback confirm the
course has been reaching its goals: improve aircraft
performance, reduce operational costs, increase safety and
consolidate your flying experience. From the knowledge of all
available software and operational publications, the pilot may
be able to optimize payload and reduce fuel consumption.
For instance, fuel tankering from cheaper locations, as well
as takeoff weight and route optimization, would possibly
avoid a technical fuel stop. Also, it is possible to increase
schedule reliability with the right MEL handling which is
taught at FOEC. Moreover, well-informed pilots and flight
operations employees lead to higher safety margins. With
our safety seminar the pilots will learn with real cases and
take advantage of lessons learned surely minimizing human
judgment error, which is recognized as the major cause of
aviation accidents. All attendees will receive a certificate
(course concluded).
