Spanish lessons aimed to acquire and reinforce Spanish skills as well as motivate students through an interesting and enjoyable approach. !!Communicative skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking) will be always integrated in each activity having a continuous grammatical support.!!Activities will be designed in the line of this communicative approach. Take the following set of activities as example: !!HISPANIC WORLD: Short texts about famous people (Picasso, Cervantes, Messi, Shakira). !!SPANISH SONGS to practice vocabulary and grammatical structures.!!CULTURAL ONLINE BOARD: Blog where they tell what it impresses them more in this city, talk about their experiences and show pictures. !!ROLE PLAYS: Drama games where they need to act in Spanish and invent dialogues following some scenarios previously given. !!VOCABULARY GAMES to support the Experiencias TSE activities in the evening.!!

The afternoons will be spent in our EXPERIENCIAS TSE allowing the student to share, communicate and generally co-exist with people of all ages from the city of Cuenca. These activities are designed from attractive contents that will enrich the student knowledge while Spanish is used for what it really is, as a tool for communication.!

!There will be a great choice of “Experiencias TSE” available to choose, like adventure activities or photography workshops:

Madrid Culture!This weekend will drive the students into the most significant places of Madrid, enjoying the majestic monument and streets, living the multiculturalism of the city.( OPTIONS: 1 DAY OR 2 DAYS)!

DAY 1!

!9.00 – 16.00!

Departure from Cuenca to Madrid , check in the hotel in Madrid a visit around Madrid and lunch in a restaurant!

18.00 – 22.00!

Visit to “Plaza Mayor”, one of the most typical locations in Madrid, surrounded by great shops where the students will have time to buy Spanish clothes and souvenirs. Students will have the opportunity also to visit a flamenco show and have dinner in one “Taberna madrileña”.!

DAY 2!

10.00! Walk to the Royal Palace and Sabatini Gardens in the heart of Madrid. Visit to the interior of the majestic palace and luxury rooms and exhibitions. !

13.30! Lunch and visit to Bernabeu Stadium.!

16.00! Prado Museum: Visit the gallery considered most important ain Europe and reflecting the events and characters in the history of Spain!

19.00 ! Return to Cuenca!

•  Cuenca, in the heart of Castilla-La Mancha, is the cradle of the Castilian language and of the famous Don Quijote, and is situated in a privileged position mid way between Madrid (50 min from Madrid) and Valencia (1 hour).!

•  In 1996 it was declared as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, for its wealth of art and culture and for the impressive natural and ecological enclave of the Serranía de Cuenca (also awarded the denomination of Biosphere Reserve by UNESCO in 2007).!

“Experience Card”!!This card is given to each student on the first day and serves as your “Cuenca Citizen” card throughout the duration of your stay. This means that students from any of the programmes of True Spanish Experience will be truly immersed and be a part of our city exactly as if they had been born here.!!You will be able to use the city’s facilities just as if you were from Cuenca (go to the museums, libraries, swimming pools, theatres, sports centres, use public transport etc) as well as discounts in bars, restaurants and shops, beauty salons and spa, theatre shows etc.!

“Tu amigo en Cuenca” !!!The difference between getting to the heart of a place and simply visiting it is all down to the people you meet there. Your “Friend in Cuenca” : you will have the chance to meet Spanish people as well as doing activities with them!
