If no other source of funding becomes available the program will CLOSEMarch 31st, 2011.

The I.P.M. Program, which operated with Cornell faculty and Cornell Coop-

erative Extension programs, attempted to help New York State growers im-prove pest management through research and education outreach.

As usual, the majority of the program’s funding comes from the state withlesser amounts from federal and private grants.

American tax–payers can NO LONGER AFFORD the #@!!% I.P.M. NON-SENSE.

Clearly, if the program was truly successful, it would receive further supportfrom the industry.

The program is one of many being affected by wide–spread cuts to closeNew York’s $10 billion budget deficit.

Ontario Voluntary Turf Integrated Pest Management Accreditation

In essence, Integrated Pest Management became FASHIONABLE because of the impendingthreat of PROHIBITION of conventional pest control products.

For example, in 2005, the Ontario Green Space Industry launched I.P.M. ACCREDITATIONas an alternative to the looming municipal PROHIBITIONS against conventional pest controlproducts.

Indeed, since 2003, Pamela Charbonneau, a Turfgrass Specialist with Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, had been spear–heading the ambitious Ontario Volun-tary Turf Integrated Pest Management Accreditation program.

Charbonneau claimed, naively, but in good faith, that ...

« The I.P.M. Council has proposed I.P.M. Accreditation as an alternative

to pesticide prohibitions in municipalities in Ontario as a means to AP-

PEASE environmentalists. » 

Ontario Voluntary Turf Integrated Pest Management Accreditation may have served only toirritate Non–Expert–Lunatic–Prohibition–Terrorists, who countered that this I.P.M. programSHOULD HAVE ELIMINATED the need to use ALL conventional pest control products.

In the final analysis, the Ontario Voluntary Turf Integrated Pest Management Accreditationprogram was a DISMAL FAILURE.

Despite the fact that pest control products are HEALTH–CANADA–APPROVED and SCIEN-TIFICALLY–SAFE, dozens of Ontario municipalities legislated PROHIBITION.

On April 22nd, 2009, the Government of Ontario implemented legislation the NEEDLESS,SENSELESS, and MALICIOUS PROHIBITION against pest control products used by the Mod-ern Professional Lawn Care Industry.

Mr. Gathercole and his colleagues have followed the evolution of LUNATIC ENVIRONMENTAL TERRORISM for over a
