Welcome to Hornsby Shire Council’s Festival of the Arts!

We are proud to present Hornsby Shire Festival of the Arts 2013, a delightful collection of events which celebrates the artistic and cultural talent found throughout our Shire.

Now in its fifth year, the Festival continues to grow and offer new experiences to a wide audience. If you are interested in visual arts, music, drama, dance, history or cultural celebrations there is something here for you.

Thank you to everyone who has contributed to this programme, we look forward to sharing the Festival with you.

Architecture on Show: architect talksAustralian Institute of Architects

Architecture on Show is a series of talks on local architecture presented by members of the Australian Institute of Architects as part of the 2013 Sydney Architecture Festival.

Talks are free, reservations essential.

Wallarobba – making the most of Hornsby’s heritageThe recently restored Wallarobba Arts and Cultural Centre is a beautiful building that reflects the history of housing in Hornsby. This once grand homestead has been repurposed many times over in its 100 year history; from family home to flats, community centre to arts hub. Join architect, Rolfe Chrystal from Architects of Arcadia, who was the lead architect on the restoration project for a talk on the building, its history, and the challenges involved in re-design.
