Advent Communal Penance Service Rite for Reconciliation of Several Penitents with Individual Confession and Absolution,
from Vatican II edition, Number 22 states that
"Communal celebration shows more clearly the ecclesial nature of penance."
The reason for Communal Penance Service is to facilitate SEVERAL Confessors for a large
group of penitents to hear individual confessions. As your Pastor, I encourage you to avail
yourselves for our Advent Penance Service on
Tuesday
December 15, 2015
7:00pm
We often have 8-10 priests come to help hear individual confessions.
This year we celebrate the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, were the Holy Father has invited
all of us in a special way to focus on the face of the Father of Mercy. He said
“We need constantly to contemplate the mystery of mercy.
It is a wellspring of joy, serenity, and peace. Our salvation depends on it.
Mercy: the word reveals the very mystery of the Most Holy Trinity.
Mercy: the ultimate and supreme act by which God comes to meet us.
Mercy: the fundamental law that dwells in the heart of every person who
looks sincerely into the eyes of his brothers and sisters on the path of life.
Mercy: the bridge that connects God and man, opening our hearts to the hope
of being loved forever despite our sinfulness.
At times we are called to gaze even more attentively on mercy so that we may
become a more effective sign of the Father’s action in our lives. For this reason I
have proclaimed an Extraordinary Jubilee of mercy as a special time for the
Church, a time when the witness of believers might grow stronger and more
effective.”
The infinite love and mercy of God will forgive any sin sincerely confessed
with a real contrition and a firm purpose of amendment.

Based on his best-selling book, Dr. Scott Hahn
reveals the early Christians' key to
understanding the Mass: the Book of Revelation.
With its bizarre imagery, mystic visions of
Heaven, and end-times prophecies, it mirrors
the sacrifice and celebration of the Holy
Eucharist. See the Mass with new eyes, pray the
Liturgy with a renewed heart, and enter into the
Mass more fully and enthusiastically!

Thousands upon thousands of Americans flock to the Nation’s Capital every year on January 22 to remember the more than 55 million Americans who have been lost to abortion. We march to remember the moms and dads who have suffered from the pain of abortion. We march with the vision of a culture of life, one where every child is welcomed into life, and protected by law. Craft Fair 2015
I am taking a moment of your time to thank a lot of people. They are the ones who put a lot of time and energy into making the 2015 Craft Fair and Bake Sale another rousing success.
We have a group of ladies who work tirelessly every Thursday, making and creating unique craft items that are sold at the fair. Ladies - We THANKYOU!
There is another group of ladies who work for at least six month’s gathering items to be raffled at our Angel Auction. Ladies - We THANKYOU!
Some of our ladies shop all year, gathering items and pairing them with other items to make the most beautiful Christmas Baskets you will ever see! Ladies - We THANKYOU!
A group of ladies take charge of making phone calls and pricing cakes and cookie and pies – oh my – to sell during our Cake Sale. Ladies - We THANKYOU!
We also have ladies who make up our Raffle Baskets, Wine Baskets, and Thanksgiving Baskets. Ladies - We THANKYOU!
To keep all our volunteers energized, we have a group of ladies and friends who prepare breakfast and lunch during the long days of setting up. They also sell lunches at our lunch counter. Ladies and friends - We THANKYOU!
We cannot forget to mention our special friends from the Knights of Columbus = who setup the Craft Fair – and the scouts of Troop 138 – who came in on Sunday to take down the Craft Fair. Gentlemen - We THANKYOU!
This year – because of all our special ladies and friends – we are able to donate to Father $7,800 toward our Parish Center.
Thank You ALL for your efforts and special gifts in making this a Wonderful Craft Fair.
A very Blessed and Wonderful
Christmas to everyone!
