My dear Parishioners,

We are writing this message to express our best wishes for all of you. “Merry Christmas!”

No, we do not want to say that, because it is worn out. We wish you a peace-filled Christmas, a

family joy, self-forgetfulness, joy in sharing what the Lord has given you with others: love, pardon,

understanding, caring. We remember you at this time of the year because you have done all these

things for us, and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts.

You have been there, you have cared, and you have shared. Our prayer is that the Lord bless

you in special way this year and help you to know His love that goes way beyond our capacity to

appreciate or even understand it. All we can do is be thankful for it every day of our lives. That is

how everyday becomes Christmas: when we learn to celebrate his birthing in our Bethlehem. You

will have a special remembrance in Holy Sacrifice of the Mass on Christmas day.

Estimados Parroquianos,

La Navidad no puede ser solamente una fiesta sentimental, ni mucho menos una celebración

profana. A eso queda reducida la Navidad cuando nuestra alma no es capturada plenamente por el

mensaje transcendental y transformador de Navidad. “Porque, tanto amó Dios al mundo que le

entregó a su hijo unigénito”. Ese es el gran mensaje de Navidad, el infinito amor de Dios que para

decirnos hasta donde ama cada hombre, nos dio y nos vuelve a dar en cada Navidad a su hijo

bendito. Pues Dios, amando con amor infinito a su hijo, nos lo dio para nosotros. El gran regalo de

Dios al mundo, ya se realiza: Emmanuel, Dios con nosotros. Y así como Jesucristo, al entrar en el

tiempo, decidió darse a nosotros transformando la historia, así es cuando Jesucristo entra en la

vida de una persona o de un hogar, lo hace para cambiarlos y transformarlos.

Que hermoso el meditar en la importancia de Jesucristo en nuestras vidas ahora que

comenzamos un año nuevo. Bastaría esto en cada hogar, para transformarlos y asemejarlo al hogar

de Nazaret, prototipo del hogar cristiano, formado por Jesús, Maria, José. Que el Señor les conceda

una Navidad llena de paz y amor, les recordaremos en una forma especial en el Santo Sacrificio

Eucarístico el día de Navidad.
