Hi everyone,
Welcome to another edition of Yappy News. Here we are after the footy, Melbourne Cup and
Halloween, we now await Christmas which is not that far off so I hope you all are getting prepped.
Chrisco and Castle Hampers will be delivered towards the end of November/early December so if you
are expecting one, best clean out the pantry. I’ve been buying Chrisco for over 10 years now :)
A huge thank you goes to all who attended the Pamper Party as a guest, those who
had a stall, as well as those who helped set up and pack away and gave their time.
Glenn the DJ did a great job of DJ-ing so we could have a bit of a dance … and that
we did. It was a great night and both Eve and myself enjoyed ourselves.
Check out Furry Fundraisers #6 coming out soon for photos plus other events.
Attention volunteers/ FOY members.
A shout out for anyone who may have this at their house. It went
missing around 10 months ago and has over $120 cash included. It's
been handed to someone who has attended the meetings but forgotten
about. Please contact [email protected]

YAPS Monster Christmas hamper raffle tickets and merchandise for sale. The Monster Christmas hamper raffle will be drawn on 19 December.
Come along and enjoy some great music. Keesha Mclean and Marlin Coast Vocal Academy will be hosting the event. Keesha is a natural at these events and the Marlin Coast Vocal Academy are amazingly talented people.
A shout out for YAPS .. At Christmas time dogs who already have a home and loving families, come to YAPS to board so
their families can go on holiday. In turn YAPS dogs are fostered out to families who are not going away for Christmas and have a
little room in their homes and hearts :) It gives the YAPS dogs a break from the kennels and often some of the dogs are adopted
from this experience. It is a great time for those who are thinking about adopting but not sure so fostering is a great way to find
out.
Adult dogs from about 23 December to 3 Jan (approx.) and puppies 24 Dec to 28 December (approx.). We need secure fencing of
about 1200 high and will need to be inspected before approval.
For those who are interested please download a foster application form from the http://www.YAPS.org.au website click on the
menu item ‘how you can help’ and then down the page at the bottom is a heading Download our Fostering Application
Form Click that and it will down load a form in PDF format. If you don’t have a printer, just swing by YAPS to fill out a form.
What a great way to make some memories for your family.

PET FEATURE
Above is Minnie, Harvey (adopted), Buckshot, Beetlejuice (adopted), Lacey, Gemma & Emma (both adopted),
Pepper, Spotty, Jason, Blink (adopted), CC (adopted), beautiful Russia and Utopia the kitties..
We learnt the hard way. The photo is of my little girl Ginger who we got from Colleen, she was my best friend. She loved playing with toys, climbing, playing chasing . After we had her for while we let her outside for a couple months and she seemed ok but we heard from a neighbour that our other neighbour doesn’t like cats. Unfortunately we believe she met with foul play and have not seen her since. It broke my heart and it was so hard to move on. About a year later we got Bella, a beautiful black cat and she is an indoors cat. We got her off Gumtree and she loves playing with toys and she has a castle too. She can open our doors and also loves giving you massage therapy, you don’t need an alarm as she will meow until you’re up. I am very luck and blessed to have Bella in my life.

YAPS feature cat is Candy, she is a beautiful 3yo Bob tail x who
unfortunately has diagnosed with lymphoma. The vet has given her an
estimate of 2 years left of life so this darling girl is looking a loving home to call
her own and live happily. She is a sweet girl and affectionate and is such a
bundle of softness.
If you have that special home for our beautiful Candy please call yaps on 4057
6373. Thank you
For the month of October

Monster Christmas Raffle
As you will be aware, we are selling raffle tickets for
our Monster Christmas Raffle of dog goodies, a bbq

bikkies or treats, they will make great Christmas gifts
for your friends dogs or even donate them to YAPS
or other animal rescue groups. We are all in it to-
gether so share the love.
IF you are keen to sell some raffle tickets at work or
to friends and family or even at school (with permis-
sion of your school Principal of course), please
contact Diana Petterson (contact info on front page).
