1) Architect’s RenditionThe process begins with an architect’s design that can then be transferred to the FRAMECAD Solutions design, detailing and engineering software.

2) FRAMECAD SoftwareThe entire frame is then designed and detailed using FRAMECAD software. The completed file, then ready for production, is sent electronically to the FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment.

3) Materials OptimisationFRAMECAD Steel and FRAMECAD Building Products provide a range of specially selected products to optimize production.

4) ProductionThe FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment then creates each component of the building frame individually, labeling them according to their location in the frame for error free construction.

5) Individual ComponentsEvery component is produced and detailed with individual characteristics according to its position in each panel. Cut to length, service and fastening holes pre-punched, swaged, notched and ready for assembly.

6) AssemblyThe assembly process usually takes place at the factory as each finished component is produced by the FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment. They are assembled and screwed together to form the panels and trusses.

7) TransportThe completed panels and trusses are then transported to the construction site.

8) ConstructionOnce at the construction site, the panels and trusses are unloaded and positioned for rapid and accurate assembly.

9) Finished ProductOnce the frame is completed, the rest of the structure is built around the world’s most advanced end-to-end steel frame building solution – FRAMECAD Solutions.

A powerful machine control system that drives the FrameMaster manufacturing equipment, FRAMECAD Factory uses data transferred directly from FRAMECAD Detailer for automated production of all steel framing components. In order to maximise productivity and allow for remote diagnostics, the system is fully networkable and internet enabled.

With the FRAMECAD Detailer programme, detailing, quoting and manufacturing processes are seamlessly integrated together with critical information to help you comply with local building codes, standards and practices in different regions.

Simply enter the dimensions and type of frame you require (including opening sizes) and FRAMECAD Detailer will convert the information into detailed framing plans that can be transferred directly to FRAMECAD manufacturing equipment.

The powerful modeling capacity of FRAMECAD Architect lets you to easily create precise 3D designs, architectural concepts, professional animated 3D presentations and accurate working drawings that can be used for steel frame detailing and manufacture.

With simultaneous 2D and 3D capability, designing in FRAMECAD Architect is much faster than traditional design packages. It also incorporates an automated bill of materials and quoting facility for quick, accurate costing of design jobs.

This advanced capability means material usage can be optimised to reduce engineering and construction costs and minimise the risk of design or construction hold-ups.

FrameMaster heavy-duty manufacturing equipment is engineered for fast, high volume production of cold-form steel framing, with accuracy that is determined by the system, not the skill level of factory workers or on site assemblers.

It allows complete buildings of all kinds to be to be built rapidly from just one steel profile, maximizing efficiency and reducing waste to less than 1%.

All components are produced to an accuracy of +/- 0.5mm ensuring the steel framing is precise and the structure can be built 100% to plan. All holes for fasteners and services are pre-punched to facilitate quick assembly on site and reduce labour costs.

The FRAMECAD-FrameMaster system has been well proven in design and build projects all around the world, in differing climates, extreme conditions and remote locations. The technology has been developed to be simple, economical to operate and above all, 100% reliable.

Design and build faster

Frame design, frame production and construction times are significantly reduced. Many FRAMECAD customers have reported savings in design and build time of more than 10%, and with some projects, construction time has been reduced by as much as 30%.

Environmentally friendly

Steel is known to be strong and durable. What is not so well known are its unique environmental benefits. The recycled content of FRAMECAD steel can be as high as 70% and, at the end of the building life cycle, the steel can be reused again.

Cost efficient and quick to build

With precision made steel frame components, build time is faster and doesn’t require highly skilled labour. Once assembled, a steel frame structure won’t warp, bend, rot or be affected by termites. Many FRAMECAD customers have reported savings in design and build time of more than 10%, and with some projects, construction time has been reduced by as much as 30%.

HealthierIndoor air quality in a steel frame home is generally better than in a timber frame home because steel doesn’t contain harmful chemicals, pesticides, preservatives or glues. Because of the way steel frame homes are insulated, they are less susceptible to moisture build up which can cause mould and mildew.
