Players may register with MISS SASH-NICOLE NOBLE, MISS AISHA THOMPSON or MISS SHENA FINLEY of MAGNIFICENT CHESS LIMITED at 10 Swallowfield Road, Kingston 5. Registration will take place within the hours of 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. at the above address or at 968-0513. Registration closes off at 4:00 p.m. sharp on Tuesday, 11 th December, 2007. LATE REGISTRATION: This will take place from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m. at the venue on Saturday, December 15, 2007. Any player who uses the late registration option will not be paired for the first round. NO EXCEPTIONS. Late entries will not be permitted after round three.

ENTRY FEES: Adult members - $2,000 Students/Juniors/Women - $1,000

LATE REGISTRATION FEES: Adult members - $3,000

Students/Juniors/Women - $2,000

NB: All players must be paid up members of the Jamaica Chess Federation.

MEMBERSHIP FEES: Adults: $2,000 per year Juniors: $1,000 per year

GUARANTEED PRIZES:

Open Section: 1st - $1,000.00 US plus trophy 2nd - $ 300.00 US plus trophy 3rd - $ 200.00 US plus trophy Amateur Section: 1st - $10,000 plus trophy 2nd - $ 5,000 plus trophy 3rd - $ 3,000 plus trophy Beginner/Unrated Section: 1st - $ 3,000 plus trophy 2nd - $ 2,000 plus trophy 3rd - $ 1,000 plus trophy Other prizes include best Under 6, 10, 12 and 14 year old players, best rural player, best female player, best junior, best overseas player and best new player.

NB: Half (½ ) point bye available only for first round and will only be allowed after proper registration. “PROPER REGISTRATION” means paying the relevant fee in addition to completing and submitting the registration form within the time stipulated. Tournament Director: Ian Wilkinson

ROUND ONE: 8:00 a.m. to 10:40 a.m.

BREAK: 10:40 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. ROUND TWO: 11:30 a.m. to 2:10 p.m. ROUND THREE: 2:30 p.m. to 5:10 p.m.

DAY TWO

Sunday 16th December, 2007

ROUND FOUR: 7:30 a.m. to 10:10 a.m. BREAK: 10:10 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. ROUND FIVE: 10:45 a.m. to 1:25 p.m. ROUND SIX: 1:30 p.m. to 4:10 p.m. AWARDS CEREMONY: 4:30 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. NB: The organizers reserve the right to have a different playing schedule and awards ceremony for the amateur and unrated sections. Details will be supplied shortly.
