As chairman of the Waterford Festival of Food Company I wish to extend a warm welcome to the many thousands of visitors who will visit Dungarvan and West Waterford from the 20th to the 22nd April 2018 to enjoy the West Waterford Festival of Food. The Festival, now in its 11th year, has established itself as one of the premier food festivals not only in the South East Region but nationally. The Festival showcases the excellent quality of food and drink produced and available in County Waterford, brings together a host of entertaining food specialists for talks, tastings and panel discussions on various aspects of food and provides a range of excellent dining experiences, all part of a fun-packed weekend.
Festival 2018, celebrating farmers both of the land and sea, will be enjoyed by young and old alike. The programme, while continuing many of the very successful events of previous years, introduces a number of exciting new events such as the one woman show and supper in the Dungarvan Mart, and the Secret Suppers.
It is also the first bi-lingual festival of food brochure produced, recognising Dungarvan as a Gaeltacht service town.
