COURAGE TO CHANGE Have you ever longed to know what was going to happen in the
future? You may be facing a problematic situation and want to
make the best choice in the matter. Or perhaps you have been
given an exciting opportunity and question whether moving for-
ward is the right thing to do. God’s will is not a mystery. He has
a wonderful path that he wants you to follow, but you must do
two things: First, ask him to reveal his plan to you. Second, be
committed to obeying him even if it means making a difficult
decision.
LOVE IN ACTION A special thank you to all those who gave monetary donations
and bought gifts for a child this Christmas. A total of thirty
children were given a better Christmas because of you. We are
aware that many also helped other families and this all says
something special about our family here at Belpre.
In addition to this a pantry client's family was helped this week in
getting gas back into their home. Neale and Mark Kaufman did
some difficult plumbing for a family to enable the gas company to
get their gas back on. This family came "beaming" to the pantry
Thursday evening and were very grateful to be able to take hot
showers, have a stove to cook on and have heat once
again. I wish the Kaufman's could have witnessed the smiles
and hugs from this family.
A special thanks also goes out to those who helped in any way
with the pantry and the dinner this past week. Thanks also to
Judy Lorentz for her special cards for the food boxes, the
Daughter's of the King for their gift boxes and the children's
classes that continually do cards for the pantry clients. Every act
of kindness helps as we reach out to others. The pantry is
overflowing again, as so many are hurting this time of year. God
is so good!
May each of you have a very Merry Christmas and a blessed New
Year!
