CHRISTMAS GREETINGS ! Because the spirit of Christmas is fo?mded on the fact that the most

universal principle of life is the kinship of humanity, this thought causes the business world to pause and take inventory of the moral and spiritual values both social and commerciBl.

On Christmas Day we focus this spirit of Brotherhood; pettv differences vanish and a common ground of fraternity and fellowship touches our lives with broader values, and the urge of service.

This season, too, afords an opportunity to emphasixe these spiritual factors. Service, courtesy, and good will are each given their place and the warm personal touch of brotherhood invests us with a broader life.

In this spirit we join with you in the heartiest Holiday Greetings and look forward with you to a continuance of those happy relations which have made our business contact such a real pleasure.

THh' AMERICAN JO URNAL OF NURSING

A double series of tests, recently conducted to determine the laxative effect of Yeast, has revealed some surprising facts.

The subjects were isolated over a period of weeks, and fed accord- ing to a rigidly regulated scheme of diet. Examination of the bulk, moisture, and chemical constitu- ents of the feces was made from day to day. The findings showed that adding Fleischmann's Yeast to the diet in quantity of two to three cakes per day produced the follow- ing results:

A definite increase in the elim- ination of waste by the bowel. Increase both in the bulk of the feces and in their moisture content. A laxative effect more marked with the ordinarily consti-

pated subjects than with. the normal ones-indicating that yeast acts as a bowel regulator rather than a cathartic.

Further research work on both animal and human subjects is now under way. The Fleischmann Company is sponsoring these im- portant investigations, a n d is anxious to give the full results to the medical profession as soon as possible after they are complete.

A new authoritative book: writ- ten by a physician for physicians. This brochure discusses ,t,,he manu- facture, physiology, chSstry,^and therapy of yeast. Sedgwick Hand Power Invalid Elevator.

Because we are building with the finest materials obtainable, guided by more than a quarter century's experience, we are able to produce an Invalid Elevator that endures as long as its owner has use for it.

It is also noteworthy that Sedgwick outfits require little or no attention, and often need no repairs or renewals during the entire life of the outfit.

Surely this is the sort of ele- vator which you can most con- scientiously recommend to your patient.

Sedgwick Invalid Elevators

Built in rigid accord wit-h the theory that the best is none too good, and is not only cheapest in the end but the most satisfactory always. During 30 years SEDGWICK has stood for su- periority of design, material and work- manship in Hand Power Dumbwaiters and Elevators. Your patient will ap- preciate the considerate spirit that pe-ompts you to tell him about Sedg- wick Invalid Elevators.

Many nurses on pri- vate cases in the home ISnd Band-Aid invaluable for band- aging the cuts and scratches of children. The older member of the family will use it also and they appre- ciate the thoughtful- ness of the nurse who suggests Band-Aid to them.

After the nurse has left the case the mother continues using Band-Aid on her chil- dren's cuts and bruises.
