+Step by Step:

Evidence of the materials that I choose to make the model:

  1. I choose acrylic because first of all acrylic is the most similar with the material that I am going to use which is fiber glass. Acrylic and fiber glass are both non-colored and it allows the light to pass through. Second, the acrylic can easy to bend by heating up. Third, the acrylic sheets can easily be found in many shops, and the price is reasonable.

  2. I used marker to represent the metal part of my design, it is because it would be very hard to embed metal into acrylic sheets.

+Evaluation of the Plan

 1. Was the plan detailed enough and why?

The plan was very detailed this time. The steps are very clear, reasonable and much more realistic. This is the first time I design a plan. Last time the plan failed badly because the failure of the select of the materials. This time I choose the acrylic for the main materials I am going to use and not only that I also consider about the tools that I am going to use which are oven, cutting machine, gloves, and a marker. This time there is no much problem in the plan because the plan is very detailed. The main problem of the plan might be it would be hard to cut the acrylic in curve shape.

+Evaluation of the Plan

  1. ( I ) How to solve the main problem of the Plan:

By solving the problem of how to use the machine to cut the complex shape of the curve I need to ask the teacher for better advice. The teacher’s advice is not to cut the curve that detail, because it would be very hard to cut them and the better way to do this is use the marker to draw down the details instead.

+Evaluation of the Plan  2. How could the plan be followed by someone else?

  1. The plan is detailed enough and explained Step by Step

 2. All the sources are available and cheap

 3. The steps are not too difficult

 4. There are pictures in the design stage to help the marker to think of what the design is going to be

  5. Include the clear and reasonable timeline for others to fellow

 6. Include the Problem solving for the others to fellow if other had the same problem.
