IMPORTANT SAFETY RECALL NOTICE

Dear Honda Odyssey Owner:

This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the National Traffic and Motor Vehicle Safety Act.

What is the reason for this notice?

Honda has decided that a defect which relates to motor vehicle safety and emissions regulations exists in certain 2005-2010 model year Odyssey vehicles. Prolonged exposure to acidic chemicals and high temperatures may cause the cover on top of the fuel pump to deteriorate prematurely. Cracks in the fuel pump cover could lead to a fuel smell being present or to leaking fuel , increasing the risk of a fire .

What should you do?

Parts needed to complete this repair will become available in the summer of 2014. Honda will send you another letter when those parts become available.

Registration records indicate that you are the current owner or lessee of a 2005-2010 Odyssey involved in this campaign. We will then update our records.

Lessor Information.

Federal law requires that any vehicle lessor receiving this recall notice must forward a copy of this notice to the lessee within 10 days.

Estimado propietario de un vehfculo Honda Odyssey:

Esta notificacion ha sido enviada a usted de acuerdo a los requisitos por decreta de Ia oficina de Administracion Nacional

de Seguridad del Trafico en las Carreteras (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration o NHTSA por sus siglas en ingles).

(.Cual es el motivo de esta notificacion?

Honda ha determinado que existe un defecto el cual esta relacionado con Ia seguridad del vehfculo y regulaciones de emisiones en algunos vehfculos modelo Odyssey afio modelo 2005-2010. Una exposicion prolongada de acidos qufmicos y altas temperaturas puede ocasionar que Ia cubierta en Ia parte superior de Ia bomba de combustible se deteriore prematura­mente. Grietas en Ia cubierta de Ia bomba de combustible podrfan ocasionar que se presente un olor a gasolina o fuga de combustible, aumentando el riesgo de que ocurra un fuego.

(.Que debe hacer?

Los repuestos necesarios para completar esta reparacion estaran disponibles en el verano del 2014. Honda le enviara otra carta cuando esos repuestos esten disponibles.

Instructions for Reimbursement Honda Safety Recall

Eligibility Reguirements

You may be eligible for reimbursement if you meet all three requirements:

o You paid to have your fuel filter repaired or replaced because of fuel smell or leak prior to receiving this notice. Repairs made after the notice date must be performed by a Honda dealer.

o You owned the vehicle at the time of repair. You are still eligible if you no longer own the vehicle.

o You provide a paid invoice.

Please complete this form and attach the items listed below. Failure to include all requested information will result in delays and possible denial of your request.

Your invoice must include:

1. Vehicle Identification Number (VIN)

2. Name and Address of the repair facility

3. Itemized cost of repair - parts and labor

4. Date the work was completed

5. Proof of Payment - copy of the canceled check, bank statement, or credit card receipt showing that you paid for the repair. Cash payments must be documented on the invoice. Please submit copies only. These documents will not be returned.
