GAS DETECTION PUMP
Fumigation is an important market for gas detectiontubes since more than 20 years
New fumigants coming up in the last 5 years because:
•Phase Out of Methyl Bromide by the UN (Montreal protocol)
•Increasing Resistances against Phosphine

ISPM !%
The compliance with ISPM 15 standards is tied into 2 types of treatment:
§ Heating Treatment (HT): dunnageshould be treated at a minimum temperature of 56° C for at least 30 minutes.
§ Methyl Bromide (MB) Fumigation: dunnage must be fumigated with Methyl Bromide
NOTE: ISPM 15 refer to all types of wood from coniferous wood to hardwood

STATUS OF FUMIGATION
• This leads to an increase in fumigated containers worldwide
• It has to be fumigated with Methyl Bromide, which should be prohibited (at the moment no other gas is recommended)
