We can trace our origins to 1876
with the formation of the leading
tutorial rm Gibson & Weldonandlater on, with the establishment of
The Law Society School of Law.
In 1962the two were amalgamated
to establish The College of Law.
In 2006 we made history by becomingthe rst-ever independent institution
to gain the power to award degrees.
And in 2012 we became the rst private
institution to be given university status,
and became The University of Law.
Our rich heritage is balanced with our
fresh, modern approach. Our passionfor innovation is reected in the way we
teach, with all our courses combining
academic rigour and practical skills.
Youll be learning to think and act
like a lawyer from day one with
a unique approach to preparingambitious professionals to compete
in a fast-changing world.
