GDT WLAN Solution

GDT provides the framework for systems design based on industry mobilization use cases as well as engineering system priorities. We incorporating a broad set of technologies, features, and applications that address customer’s specifi c solution needs. GDT wireless engineers have comprehensively tested and documented our market specifi c approach to ensure faster, more reliable, and fully predictable deployments.

GDT delivers “exceptional” next generation solutions utilizing Cisco certifi ed and CWNP specialized RF professionals that design, build, optimize large WLANs to maximize your investment in workplace mobilization.

Our solution benefi ts:

▪ Indoor/Outdoor solutions ▪ Secure, reliable mobile network access ▪ Mobile advertising and monetization ▪ Cost effective deployment

Target Customers:

▪ Expanding/upgrading existing/aging infrastructure ▪ Integrating Wireless Intrusion Detection/Prevention with WLAN infrastructure ▪ BYOD for improved effi ciency and security, providing true differentiated access ▪ IoT connectivity for “Smart” applications, buildings devices, environmental sensors ▪ Big Data Analytics through device location, presence, and social network integration ▪ “Heat Mapping” of shoppers for retail to determine path to purchase ▪ Monetize WiFi through differentiated access and billing, or making informed market decisions based on analytics information.

GDT Wireless Design Methodology

Utilize scaled, high quality customer provided CAD drawingsUsed as a guide for completing all equipment placement tasks, such as access point placement, cable placement and aesthetic considerations.Defi ne Client’s objectivesBuild (3-D) predictive AP placement models for each site or fl oor.Our CWNP RF specialists accurately predict a multi-fl oor baseline model as a preliminary reference point.Export peer-reviewed validated predictive design in preparation for live surveyPerform active onsite surveyPredicted placements are verifi ed and necessary adjustments are made. A spectrum analysis is performed to identify and locate sources of interference, noise fl oor, overpowered neighboring APs that may be impactful to the 2.4 and 5GHz spectrum.Final review of onsite fi ndingsCollected ESS survey data along with spectrum analysis is reviewed with CCIE-W Solution Architect, Principal Consultant and Managing Principle. A -67dBM RSSI cell edge and 25dBM SNR is adhered to in most cases. AP placements positions are evaluated carefully to avoid stacking, co-channel interference, unintentional channel utilization and other impactful conditions that may occur in high-rise buildings.Build and deliver fi nal design reportThe senior wireless engineer builds the fi nal report with design recommendations, considerations and best practices. Upon approval, fi nal design is incorporated into HLD (High Level Design) combined with hardware confi gurations then becomes the LLD, (Low Level Design).
