Before we begin…

• You need to be prepared to tell Facebook your name, birth date, sex and email address.

• You need access to your email account, because Facebook might send you an email to verify who you are.

“On Facebook, your name, profile picture, gender and networks are visible to everyone. Also, by default, apps have access to your friends list and any information you choose to share with everyone.”

Once you give your friends’ names and email addresses to Facebook and to any games or apps, you cannot get them back. Michael Henry Starks [email protected] 30

If you have not subscribed to any app, there are no settings to edit.

Click Edit Settings for “Info accessible through your friends.”

Depending on which email program you use, you might need to convert the information in your email address book into CSV format so Facebook can put your address book entries into your Facebook Friends list. Text that’s in the CSV (comma-separated-value) format is what gets pulled out of one software program so it can be put into another software program. Each output item is separated by a comma from surrounding items, and each output text item is surrounded by "double quotes“. So output from an email address book would look something like this: “Mike Starks”, “[email protected]”, “Zionsville”,

Facebook asks, “What’s on your mind?” and “What are you planning?”
