2 Peter 3:18 says “Grow in grace and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.”

One highlight this past year for me as a Children's Pastor was to be part of a water baptism service just for children, where kids were able to testify of their growth in grace and in their personal knowledge of Jesus Christ. What an honor to be part of their Spiritual journey with Christ.

CHRIST

The youth have consistently had a presence and built relationships with two of our local high schools - Woburn C.I. and Cedarbrae C.I. - gaining tremendous favour with the administration at both schools. We've also had youth whose families never attended church come, and then get their entire family to come and get plugged in to church life. We have youth that have a real hunger to go deeper in the things of God, which has resulted in them doing a study on systematic theology.

Some highlights from young adults this past year were our: Centennial College outreach, Retreat, Mozaik, Coffee House nights and various Scarborough community initiatives. The young adults of GKM are passionate! It’s amazing to see this generation hunger for the Lord! 4

CHARACTER

I had the privilege of attending Soul Care for Women. Throughout the 10-weeks program, I was anchored to the Word of God while engaged in the process of emotional healing and spiritual renewal. It was a time of wholehearted discipleship, and authentic fellowship with the other participants and the Soul Care facilitators. I was safe! I discovered my true identity. I underwent a powerful transformation as I emerged from years of pain and confusion. -Ann

Our participation in the Married Life events has definitely been a blessing. The events have all been well- organized and are always an economical evening with good friends and fun. In our busy lives, we don’t always take the time to plan an evening of relaxation and fun for ourselves. These events help to facilitate an enjoyable time together. The events, especially the Niagara Falls retreat, have helped to strengthen our relationship by forcing us to be conscious of each other’s feelings and not taking each other for granted. -Terrence & Jackie

“But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.” II Corinthian 3:18

The Men’s Ministry has had a year filled with purpose. We’ve seen men connect, engage and encounter God. Some highlights for the Men’s Ministry in 2015 included: •Breakfasts, •Youth Detention Centre outreach, •Annual Summer Games, •Habitat for Humanity group build in Scarborough, •Road trip.

CALLING“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:10

This year, we trained 84 people in School Of Discipleship. This group of people received intense, hands on training for ministry here at GKM and beyond into their workplaces and homes. Many are now walking out their call by serving and leading in a ministry.

Another highlight this year was our Leadership Forum held once a month. Pastor Bob and a small team personally poured into 35 business managers, entrepreneurs, and ministry leaders. With creative activities, and practical teaching, these leaders honed and developed the skills needed to successfully walk out their call.

2015 also marked our first Kingdom Summit. This was a one-day gathering of 140 of our own ministry leaders. It was an opportunity for GKM leaders to connect, share vision and walk in unity, as we pursue the call of God on this house. It was evident that GKM’s vision isn’t about one person, one ministry or one generation. It is about a whole community rallying together, walking towards the call that God has prepared for us. Make sure you don’t miss out.

Prophetic Ministry on Thursday nights have had approximately 60 regulars on the current roster, and consistently have 30 in attendance, with some attending monthly, and some weekly, depending on distance. Groups come from St Catherine's, Cobourg, Ajax, Mississauga, Scarborough, Whitby, Oshawa.

GKM hosted a total of 9 prophetic training seminars this past year in-house, and 9 other sessions outside GKM in other venues. The total number of attendees at training seminars in 2015 was 450 .

We hosted 9 monthly prophetic services with prophetic presbytery ministry of generally 6 teams of 3 people. They regularly ministered to 30-50 people for personal ministry before service and then others at alter time.

We also offered the follow in 2015: 1.Personal Mentoring sessions for class attendees. 2.Ministry at Discipleship classes twice. 3.One team member taught GKM children's ministry on hearing God. 4.Three members went on missions trips to Switzerland, Grenada and other islands. 5. A new ministry was launched for inner healing and deliverance with 12 people taking the training, led by team member and therapist. 6

COMMUNITY

Being part of Expression Of Praise has taught me much about relationships and partnerships in prayer, and seeing how our Almighty God and Father moves on behalf of His children, as we serve Him and walk in righteousness. He fights for us!

Through our weekly prayer, rehearsals, ministry and team nights together, we (Worship & Creative Arts) strengthen the bonds of relationship amongst one another and seek to keep each other accountable to the call of God on our lives. We also have a genuine desire for others in our community to see and experience the true and living God in worship, and as such, we often volunteer to minister in other churches, shelters

and homes that may not have access to the resources and people we do, in order to facilitate a move of God through the Creative Arts.

At Global Kingdom, we are all about community. In Romans 12:5, Paul writes “though we are many we form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.” I believe God designed each of us for community.

Our goal is to see discipleship happen in all our ministries at GKM. This past year, we had over 120 women attend our Spring retreat. It was beautiful to see women discover their purpose and to begin to walk confidently in their calling. We also had our first mother and daughter Victorian tea party in May, and a wonderful Christmas dinner in December.

We, in the care ministry during the past year, have been able to share in the mission of Jesus as to why he came and why we are left here after coming to know him as Lord and Saviour.

Our ministry continues to make approximately 23-30 contacts per week with individuals. Our focus remains directed to seniors’ homes, hospitals and folks in their own homes. Communion is also shared with those who request to have this during our visits. We have a dedicated group of volunteers of about 20 individuals, who have encountered many different types of situations, including supporting families through their grief period, after a family member passes from this life.

This year, our 55+ ministry was able to conduct a hymn sing. We had over 30 seniors attend. We also had a memorable and informative meeting when Griffin

Mack presented a seminar on Smart and Safe Living. 2015 left us looking forward with great anticipation to the new year and all the Lord has in store for us!

Jesus said in Luke 4:15, “He hath sent me

to heal the broken hearted, to preach deliverance to the

captives, and recovering of sight to

the blind, to set at liberty them that are

bruised.”

Another impactful discipleship group is our Alpha ministry. The vision of Alpha is to make disciples of Jesus from all walks of life and to transform society one life, one church, and one community at a time.

This past year 218 people visited our guest lounge and 48 people attend the new comers’ breakfast. We have approximately 16 Life Groups and about 146 people that attend on a weekly basis.

Administration, Finance and Operations

There are seasons in the history of each church, which reflects the move of God upon our ministry to the community. We are on the cusp of our 60th anniversary being celebrated May 2016, and it is almost 8 years since we have moved into our building. In many ways, we are a mature, well-established organization with an almost new congregation finding its rhythm. Since we have moved into the new building, we have an overall increase in attendance by 87% and our revenues by 33%. Attendance or revenues, in itself, are not reflective of a church discipleship program. A church has to seek growth, not just numerically (wide), but also in discipleship (depth). A key metric in any church is the Giving Per Attendee, which decreased by 35% between 2008 and 2013 due to the fact that our attendance increased at a much faster pace than our revenues. However, between 2014 and 2015 our Giving per Attendee increase by 6%. This is one indicator that our 5 “C” strategy is starting to take hold, reflecting the maturing of the “new” congregation.

OPERATING EXPENSES

We have reached into the community and into homes with our vison and mission, and our operating base at 1250 Markham Road serves as a discipleship centre for training, worship, encouragement, and operates 7 days a week. Our operating expenses increased by 3% from 2014 with 45% towards ministry and missions, 25% loan interest and principal payments, 16% operating expenses and 14% building maintenance. In the midst of significant loan payments for our capital expenditure on our building, we have still maintained and extended our ministry and missions activities.

Giving Per Attendee

FROM THE DESK OF THE EXECUTIVE PASTOR

As part of our accountability and financial transparency to our congregation, our financial statements have been audited by an independent Certified Accountant since 2007, who reports our financial position is fairly represented, other than our accounting treatment of the swap valuation.

Trinity Ravine Towers

GKM is blessed to have 3 acres of its property rezoned multi-residential senior housing. In 2014, the Board made the decision to proceed with the development of 445 units to be built in two phases. This project has the potential to set a new standard in accommodation and services for Scarborough seniors. Its premise is to see the emergence of a financially self-sustaining community, providing flexible high quality services, as the resident profiles and needs change over time. The model allows for “ageing-in-place” an effective antidote to uncertainty over the future for those who choose to call it “home.” This is why TRT is so important ,and what makes it highly unique versus a regular condo.

The financial benefit to GKM includes building a parking facility in the west parking lot adjoining the church (increasing the number of parking spaces), building Phase 3 of GKM -thus increasing meeting and seating accommodation, and paying down the debt of the church. This allows increased ministry activity, enlarged community outreach and generosity towards Kingdom purposes.

We have been able to get the project to market within a very short timeframe, with our presentation centre opened to the public in September 2015. We are anticipating construction to start in the fall 0f 2016, with completion fall 2018.
