The self-tapping metal fixing for gypsum plasterboard and
gypsum fibreboard
BUILDING MATERIALS
Gypsum fibreboard▪Gypsum plasterboard▪
ADVANTAGES
Due to its material properties, theGKM can be used in gypsumplasterboard and gypsum fibreboard, and can be used with the most wide-ranging screws, hooks and eyescrews. This allows for a broad rangeof applications.
▪
The sharp, self-tapping threadenables a secure, positive fit fixing. This achieves a high load-bearingcapacity.
▪
The cross-drive recess means that astandard screwdriver or bit can beused. No special setting tool isrequired.
▪
The short fixing length means thatonly a small amount of space isrequired behind the board. As aresult, the GKM can also be used inthe case of unknown boardthickness and cavity depth.
▪
APPLICATIONS
Pictures▪Lighting▪Electrical installations▪Fitting accessories▪
FUNCTIONING
The GKM is suitable for pre-positioned installation.
▪
The self-tapping metal fixing GKMtaps itself into the plasterboard witha positive fit.
▪
Flush installation in the boardbuilding material. Overtightening thefixing should be avoided. Therefore, the installation torque should belimited when using a batteryoperated screwdriver.
▪
Adapted for wood, self-tapping andchipboard screws of 4.0 to 5.0mmdiameter.
▪
Pre-drill with a Ø8mm drill bit whenusing gypsum fibreboard anddouble-planked gypsumplasterboard.
▪
Not suitable for tiled plasterboard.▪
