Outlook for 2014 and Beyond GLOBAL MARKET will sustain selective, limited growth through 2018 in
most geographic regional markets and then could begin to decline, especially in unit volume. Chip cards will continue to displace lower priced traditional magnetic cards, thereby fortifying the dollar mix. Newer alternative technologies will penetrate and begin to displace plastic cards in several market segments.
ASIA PACIFIC will continue to grow albeit at a slower 6% to 8% rate as consumer demand grows in China and India. This region will out perform all others in future years.
NORTH AMERICA will experience limited growth with some selective segment declines. Growth in Gift, Gov’t/Health, Transportation with Financial cards remaining strong driven by EMV, debit and prepaid growth.
EUROPE will experience slow declines in some market segments except Gift, Gov’t/Health, Transportation and Access Control.

Outlook for 2014 and Beyond LATIN AMERICA will be driven by growth in Mexico, Argentina and Brazil,
with moderate growth in most market segment except prepaid phone cards. MIDDLE EAST AFRICA will decline in Prepaid Phone Card category while
segments like Gift, Transportation, Gov’t/Health and Access Control will grow. CHIP CARDS will continue to grow while TRADITIONAL CARDS decline, this
trend is driven by chip card penetration and growth in:
PREPAID PHONE CARDS will continue to decline in MEA, Asia and Europe and Latin America as alternative “prepaid loading” grow.

Pacific driven by China Union Pay and could begin to slowly decline after 2018 as alternative payment technologies begin to impact most regions.

LOYALTY PROMOTIONAL and ID/MEMBERSHIP could decline as smartphone applications displace these cards in future years.
