The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of

Tajikistan (CCI RT) is a non-governmental and non-profit

organization.

The main goal of the CCI is to represent, protect and promote

interests of businesses. The Chamber serves as a link between

entrepreneurs, government and foreign investors.

CCI RT is a party to multilateral agreements concluded with the

world chambers of commerce and industry. To date, more than

400 bilateral and multilateral agreements have been signed with

the world CCI.

The Law of the RT “On International Commercial

Arbitration” was adopted on March 18, 2015

In accordance with Article 5 of the Law of the Republic of

Tajikistan “On International Commercial Arbitration”, the

International Commercial Arbitration Court has been

established at the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of

the Republic of Tajikistan. It contributes to the

development of the arbitration institution in the country

as one of the most important civil society institutions,

which serves as an alternative way of resolving disputes,

as well as increasing Tajikistan’s investment

attractiveness and national economy growth.

The center for mediation and law

The EBRD would like to see the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Tajikistan as a partner in the

implementation of the Commercial Mediation Project in Tajikistan.

On the basis of the Governmental Order No. 17/10-10 of April 13, 2017,

the Ministry of justice, Finance, the Supreme Economic Court of the

Republic of Tajikistan, The chamber of Commerce and Industry of the

Republic of Tajikistan and the National Center for Legislation

submitted their candidacies for inclusion to WG and on May 7, 2017,

an interdepartmental Working Group on the development of the Draft

Law on Mediation of the Republic of Tajikistan was established.

Since 2004, with the aim of attracting foreign investments, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of the Republic of Tajikistan has launched the issuance of the Business Guide of the Republic of Tajikistan, which contains legal acts of the Republic of Tajikistan regulating the private sector activity, the necessary legal basis for potential investors, a list of investment projects in the priority areas of the Tajikistan economy, the list of the Chamber members, including their type of activity and details.

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry implements its

activity with the purpose to promote the development of

economic of the Republic of Tajikistan, its integration to the

world economic system, formation of modern infrastructure

of market relations, creation of favorable conditions for

foreign economic activity, regulation of relations between

the entrepreneurs and their social partners, every kind

development entrepreneurship, trade-economic and

scientific-technical relations of entrepreneurs of Tajikistan

with foreign entrepreneurs.

Renders assistance to enterprises, entrepreneurs and their

associations, represent and protect their interests on issue

connected with implementation of economic activity,

including the activity abroad;

Facilitates the development of the system of education

training of specialists for business activity in the

Republic of Tajikistan, participates in elaboration and

realization of state and interstate programs in this

sphere;

Renders informational services to entrepreneurs, to their

associations and unions and assist in organization of

infrastructure of information service for

entrepreneurship;

Facilitates the development of export of domestic goods

and services, renders practical assistance to enterprises

and entrepreneurs of Tajikistan in condition of operations

on foreign market and learning of new forms of trade-

economic and scientific-technical cooperation;

Renders information-consultative services on the issues

of business and foreign economic activity;

On a commission from juridical and physical persons of

the Republic and foreign states, the Chamber conducts

quality expertise and control over quantity and

completeness of goods;

Organizes exhibitions and fairs in the Republic and

abroad;

The Chamber also implements other tasks in accordance

with Laws and other legal acts of the Republic of

Tajikistan.
