Techno CNC Systems Goliath CNC router is manufactured using global state-of the-art techniques with advanced engineering and workmanship, all steel construction, and superior components, such as precision linear bearings and rails. Designed for unconventionally thick foam cutting and custom displays, our Goliath Series is the CNC router workhorse. Our Goliath Series CNC Router is equipped with a 12hp ATC spindle, AC servo motors and drives and our American made PC based controller. Machine can route at speeds up to 1000 inches/min. The Goliath Series is equipped with pneumatic assist cylinders, which results in higher z-axis speeds when cutting 3D models. The Goliath Series CNC Router features a 12 HP HSD high frequency automatic tool changer spindle with 8-position tool rack, pneumatically retractable vacuum hood and multi-zone vacuum t-slot table. The Goliath Series is powered by Techno’s PC based industrial SSA 5000 controller with Windows 10 operating system. System connection is Ethernet for high speed communication resulting in high speed uninterrupted processing.

Spindle Gantry

The Goliath Series machine comes standard with a 12HP HSD high frequency automatic tool changer spindle. This precision spindle requires no mainte-nance, uses industry standard ER collets and ISO 30 tool holders, and is fully programmable with speeds from 6000 to 24000 RPM, and comes complete with a pneumatically retractable vacuum hood.

The gantry is constructed of tubular steel with reinforcing ribs welded throughout the length of the column which results in a steady firm beam assembly. This quality engineering and work-manship result in smooth precision cutting.

The Goliath Series CNC Router utilizes AC Servo motors powered by Yaskowa drives. These motors require no regular maintenance — therefore, reduc-ing any maintenance downtime.

Drive Train Assembly

The Goliath Series CNC Router utilizes brushless AC servo motors. These motors require no regular maintenance, therefore reducing any maintenance downtime.

Gantry Uprights

The Gantry uprights are cast iron with heavy duty gussets formed into the casting. Each support is machined for housing the various drive assemblies including motors, bearings, belts, and wiring har-nesses.

Tool Calibration

Automatic tool calibration pad allows for easy and accurate “Z” zero position for single and multiple tool changes through the program. The Goliath in-cludes (2) calibration pads; 1st is for fixed position, which records all tool length offsets and 2nd is for setting Z-Zero.

Vacuum Table

The vacuum plenum table surface is multi-zoned which allows the operator to easily switch from full sheet processing to smaller part processing, (which requires a smaller segmented area). Zones can be turned off easily via control valves on the front of the machine. Gasketing can also be routed to accom-modate various material sizes and styles.

Base Frame

The base frame is fabricated from heavy-duty tu-bular steel that is welded, precision machined and stress relieved so that the foundation remains true and steady over the operational life of the machine.
