Applications are invited from eligible candidates for filling up thè post of Director, National Council for Promotion of Sindhi Language (NCPSL), New Delhi in pre-Revised Pay Band PB-4 Rs37.400-67,000+ Grade Pay 8,700/-.

2 The details of thè post and eligibility conditions alongwith proforma for application is enclosed.

3 The officers selected for appointment will be treated on transfer/deputation as thè case may be and will be governed as per existing rules. The officers once selected wiìl not be allowed to withdraw.

P ay Scale: Pay Band PB-4 Rs.37 ,400-67,000/- plus Grade Pay o f R s.8,700/- (pre-revised)

Oualification:

Essential:(1) M asters D egree in Sindhi Language/Literature OR M asters D egree in Linguistics with excellent knowledge o f Sindhi. (2) M inim um 55% marks in thè M asters D egree exam ination (3) In thè case o f Non-Ph.D candidates: Published Research/literary w ork in Sindhi o f recognized merit.

Desirable:( I) Ph.D in Sindhi OR Ph.D in L inguistics with good know ledge o f Sindhi language (2) Good knowledge o f one or m ore Indian languages in addition lo Sindhi (3) K now ledge o f m odem principles and techniqucs o f lcxicography.

Expcricnce:

(a) For N on-Ph.D Candidatesi Ten (IO) years in group ‘A ’ level post OR Five (5) years in a post carrying pre-revised pay scale o f Rs. 12,000-16,500/-.

(b) For Ph.D Candidates: Five (5) Years in group ‘A ’ level post.

E xplanation “A dm in istra tive E xperience” m eans experience as h ead o f an academ ic in stitu tio n (including th è H ead o f D ep artm en t in a College or U niversity) O R E xperience in adm inistrative capacity in a G overnm en t, locai body o r au tonom ous n rganization , p refe rab ly connected w ith th è area o f education/languages.

Method of RecruitmentBy transfer or deputation from among thè officers under thè Central/State G overnm ent/U niversities/autonom ous bodies holding analogous posts or w ith five (5) years Service in thè pre-revised pay - scale o f Rs. 12000-16500/- with thè educational qualifications given above and minimum fifteen (15) years experience in thè discipline.

Age limitAge o f superannuation is 60 years. The Candidate selected should have a minimum period o f three years o f Service left before su perannuation ag e on thè closing d ate o f receip t o f application.
