Dad’s First DayRead to see why Dad is upset.

I think Dad is nervous. Atbreakfast, he almost pouredmilk into his orange juice instead of into his cereal bowl!Mom doesn’t seem worried. She knows why Dad is a littleupset. Today is his first day at anew job.

My dad builds bridges. Someof them look heavy and strong.Others look light, as if they arejust hanging in the air. Dad saysthe light bridges are just asstrong as the heavy ones.

Dad is an excellent bridgebuilder, even at home. Once,we almost filled my whole roomwith bridges. We used boxes, blocks, pots, pans, and eventhe dog’s dish. It was great.

I know Dad has tons of greatbridge ideas, so he shouldn’t benervous. I guess he just wants topractice making one morebridge before he goes to work.
