Glencore Agriculture buys wheat, barley, oilseeds, pulses, sorghum and cotton direct from Australian growers, with offices in SA, WA, Victoria, NSW and Queensland.

We market 8-10 million tonnes of grain per annum to domestic and international customers in bulk and containers. We are the largest importer of protein meals into Australia and supply product to a range of feed manufacturers and customers. Our operations include Viterra’s storage and handling network spanning key growing regions in SA, western Victoria and NSW.

We are part of the global Glencore Agriculture business, a leader in originating, handling, processing and marketing agricultural commodities, with operations in more than 35 countries worldwide.

Graduate ProgramThe program runs for 18 months and focuses on areas such as logistics, shipping, finance, grower accumulation and trade services.

Graduates are largely based in Melbourne with the potential to visit other operations in Australia.

We take a smaller number of quality graduates to ensure we provide you with the right support and allow you to participate fully as a member of the team.

While not guaranteed, we try to place graduates in permanent positions at the end of the program.

Department Type of work

Logistics Coordinating freight movements with bulk handlers and ports

Booking freight, invoicing and reconciliations

Shipping Coordinating shipping documentation for bulk and container shipments

Vessel logistics / regrading vessel bookings

Finance Assisting with financial reporting, accounts payable/receivable

Exposure to liquidity and foreign exchange risk management

Grower Accumulation

Assisting with grower enquiries re storage and handling and commodity contracting/pricing

Exposure to supply and demand analysis and contracts

Trade Services

Contract data entry and management, track invoicing

Responding to grower payment enquiries

Eligibility Requirements• All degrees will be considered,

however the ideal applicants will have an interest in agribusiness, grain, commodity trading, logistics, shipping or finance.

• Applicants must have completed, or be due to complete, an undergraduate degree by the end of the current academic year.

• Applicants must have the ability to work in Australia.

• You will also need to be someone who enjoys working in a team, is flexible, organised and motivated.
